Finally with lots of help from FT and Friar and many of you I have the game working! (sure, I had to make about 10 copies and play with them...but who cares now). Just have to see if I remember everything: 1) Communications: - "Painless, you boy-loving child-porn watching wierdo, watch your six" - "BA, how about that Mitt Romney, eh?" - "Did I ever tell you guys about FT's snoring?" check. 2) game skill: "Damn, I got shot down. You guys are cheating hacks" check. 3) Looking after the homefront "Jensen, I don't have time to help with your homework. Get on TS and ask Jedi." check. 4) Immersion: "man, my wife won't let up her nagging about me flying. War really is hell". I'm out of town Sunday...but will try to get on Saturday.

thought I would run it...and when I use the autoupdater, I get to 6 3, but it crashes at 5%. I'm taking another 4.1.1.1.1..1.1.1.1 (whatever) and re-installing the big hsfx and starting from scratch.

odd...when i run modcheck on 6.1.3 the game crashes at 5%

exit hatch...right by the starboard side gun. very small. notice it does not seal... view of the back of the plane from the port side gunner. rear gunner position about 15 feet back. very, very tiny space. You'd have to crawl to access it if. from the radio/gunner position view of my hotel...(in the foreground...in front of those two high right condos). short vid (looks like Ned Flanders from the Simpson's was in my way there at the end) btw Streak: not as loud as I thought inside. The 'loadmaster' was an old guy named Bob (about 70). He is one of the regulars in the B25. Unfortunately I didn't get to the nose of the plane. We were on a 30 minute promo right and the freakin' media on board hogged the good spot. Having mucho problemo with photobucket. Thanks all you mutts. Was able to connect successfully to FT's server. just have to fiddle with pedals, some controls and so on. looking forward to be being back.

ok...I deleted a bunch of crap and found that stupid vision ++ thing and killed it with extreme prejudice...and lo and behold I have 6.0.1.2 working. big test is whether I can connect now. AND: what is current version you guys are using (before the big move to HSFX)

well, i can now get 6.1.2 yay but it crashes at 5% ran the modcheck (4 hours). accidentally ran updater for client (server I assume) ran updater (got that goofy Vision ++ error again) feckin' mods.

check mods is running now... Will be good to be back. Just doing a QMB to test gave me a thrill.

I'm on Windows 7. How do I run it as an 'admin'? sorry, I am a bear of little brains.

I tried to run checkmods and it says I need to be signed in and 'can't continue'.

Ok, I seem to have it patched up to 6.0.1 but the updater won't take it to .0.2...says "a new version of MS Visual c++ has been detected on this machine. should it be in Program Files (X86) maybe instead of just Program files?

lol...the big download is working now...but my 1946 disk is damaged. frig. what version are you fine chaps using then?

crap... C:\Users\user\Downloads\IL-2_MegaPatch4.10.1m_EN.rar.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

From the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Airforce Psycho side gunner...in a tie. The 50 cal was still very heavy...even on a swivel View from the port side gunner window...about 3000 feet above Edmonton. Will post some more and some vids once I get the loaded...

sorry, what does 4.11int go over? i tried installing it over 4.10.1m and get one of those goofy 3.26doe errors or something.

Hi guys: little help here. Been away a long time, I know. Time to get back into it. What's the upgrade process? I think the most recent I have is 4.10.1 I tried asking Colin but he said "no one wants you back. You are evil scum and we don't want you back so I will not tell you what is needed. Don't ask anyone else, either. And yes, Painless is still gay.". I think he is being a bit of a joker here...so maybe someone else can let me know?

tomorrow is the 70th anniversary of the disaster of Dieppe.
