I missed the last DDay event, and will also miss this one angry9: A birthday party in Minnesota
for a grand-daughter. Having never been on the winning side, I would have selected RED.
:crybaby: Have a good time (really I hope Glenn has computer problems and its set back a week.

Hopefully you can point me to a program that can open and play this. I've recvd these in
the past and it DLs but when I go to open it says, "Windows can not open this file".
Any suggestions on a program for myself. Thanks a lot.

A great time and look forward to your next fine mission. One point I forgot to bring up last night
that I just remembered. Three times I had problems while trying to take off from a carrier.
My B5N2 would appear, I'd set up and just before I started to take off or try and turn to get to
the back of the carrier, a plane popped up in front of me. Had to wait for him, to start, one guy
had so much lag, I asked him to drive it off the side. I heard him say something about the crash,
I watched him for another 5 seconds, then his plane started and he went over the side.
I'm a complete know nothing on what you all do to set these up (Thank You), I guess if there is
a way to reserve a carrier for only large bombers, have fighters/destroyers take off somewhere else.
Two cents of babbler from me, all in all it was fantastic. No lags here. Look forward to next theatre,
maybe I'll get lucky and pick the winning side, haven't yet.

BG, What are Crazy Ivans settings???
-
Mine are set at: MG:150 & Can:350 & Roc:700....why?
I figure MG are only going to really be effective up close, Cannons because most others I've seen set them
near this distance. Rockets
Thats what I have now, probably change them after reading what others use.

Not sure if I mentioned this before, the Navy Corpsman, John Bradley who helped raise the flag and whos son wrote the book is from my small town (8,000) Antigo, Wisc. I enlisted with his oldest son, Steve in the Marines in '67.
The author of the book, James comes back to town every so often to visit, if anyone would like an autographed copy of the book, let me know. I'll buy it and you can pay me when recieved. John gave me a couple autographed pictures before he passed away, I never asked for them but they sure mean a lot to me now.

The locals were hoping they film part of the movie where he comes back to Antigo, but they shot that part in small small town near Chicago, we all missed our chance to see Clint in person.

Put me down for a ticket Frior, see you on the Sabbath.

That looks mighty nice Dave, are you giving out copies, would understand if your not.
It'll be a pleasure to fly your wing with that handsome plane.

Good work BG, I think they call these "Adirondak" chairs here in the states.
Where the rich from NYC go upstate, like those from Toronto.

This is a hard decision, but I'm leaning Blue, should the sides be uneven I wouldn't mind the switch to Red.
Can't wait. Pooka

Geez I'm all jittery, this looks great, can't wait. I want to fly a B-17 (just in practice)
Thanks this looks better than the previous, having learned this game in an F4F and
with joint-ops being all Zero's.. Going to be hard to pick a side...can't wait for practice
with the coming training missions.

Great photos, thanks. I'd like to look at the 8th AAF list, I had an uncle who was an Engineer/Top Gunner on a B-17. He went down over France when two planes collided. I did some research and came across a gentleman from Upper Norwood (London area I think) he gave me loads of info on the plane. He also had a Chronicle from a crew member on the other plane that describes the collision. A fact that astounds me is, on the mission to bomb Chemnitz, Germany there were
1,383 bombers and 904 fighters on the mission.(06Feb44)
They were stationed at Eye, England, near Diss, which is close to Norwich.
If anyone would like to read the chronicle, let me know and I'll figure out, with help, how to get a copy posted or sent.

I found Bushpigs on the "missions4today" site, completed the first two missions and then found your post about "Castways", cancelled Bushpigs and jumped to the later. I was on the third mission, no loses, my grandson stopped by, distracted me and a crash into the sea. Damn
Plan to start again, I realize there will be deaths but I want them to be because I screwed up, not an error of looking at something he thought was important. I really do enjoy these, should be practicing the Corsair, maybe both. Thanks for your time and effort to keep me occupied.

I know what you mean BG, not many to fly with, anyway, I'll be there Sat nite.
Should we drop the Sat nite flights, might we start a regular Tuesday afternoon like Thursday?

I'm spending a lot of time with skins and campaigns, and I'm concerned that I should loose this all/time spent.
So I need to back-up, something very easy to understand. My HD now is a WD 74GB 10K and has 79% left.
Local computer dealer suggested a WD My Book and I found one at ZipZoomFly, WD 250GB 7200rpm for $123.00US.
Does this sound like a good idea or would you suggest another approach, that being secure and extremely easy to understand and implement.
Thanks for any suggestions; Pooka

Came across this yesterday, already dl and working on taking off practice (1st mission). Plan to try the Castaways after finishing Bushpigs. Thanks for your time & effort, appreciated and very enjoyable & flustrating...

He did, but the response said all was correct, but I've since replayed the missions and again on the 6th mission there are no bombs. I've loaded different skins and again No Bombs. I've since gone beyond that point and on later missions do have bombs and have hit the bridge. I think he has a clitch on that part. Otherwise a great program and still enjoy the second time thru.

Chin up M8, we WON the first match and everybody knows it... We had time to organize, maybe on future matches we can have a few more minutes between the scenerios. Then your brilliant tactical mind will have time to prepare our attacks & defenses. Thats all we need..time and tactics.

I had a great time, many thanks...at one point I got so discusted, tried taking off five times with a JU-88, twice I was vulched (OK), crashed in a hurry trying to get up 3 times. There were so many smoking wrecks on the runway I started taking off in a different direction. (Game 3)
It was a lot of fun and look forward to this again..
