I hear you Deputy but when you add up what you have spent on Rambos ram, the 9600Gt and the cost of the two work stations you purchased, you still have a machine that is really quite limited in what it can do. Wouldn't it be prudent to invest in a better build that is upgradeable?

Deputy, I really have to wonder about some of your purchases M8. Why would you go for a 9600GT when you can get some much better cards for just a little more cash? But it is your business sir. Just don't make sense to me.

Best to get them in advance sged. Saves queuing up at the gate and they are a bit cheaper. Usually one of the guys buys them for everybody.

Kelly. Get CPU Z and run it. Very easy to install and use. It will tell you what kind of RAM you are using, timings etc. Try and get an exact match. If you have a dual ram board you might have to consult your manual to see which slot it goes in. Just make sure the RAM issecurely seated and you don't break any of the pins. Installing RAM is one of the simplest things to do in a computer. Get CPU Z here: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php Or you can pull out what you have and read the type off the label. If you have 2 x 512 sticks it may be better to replace them with 2 X 1gb ones.

I am beginning to figure out how this program scores. It obviously gives quad cores a high score as well as fast video cards. But keep in mind guys, il2 runs on a single core and does best on some of the slightly older video cards so don't despair.

Seems as though the guys that are overclocking are getting some higher numbers. I tried some mild overclocking yesterday with near disastrous results. The Asus utility I used was corrupted and now I can't get the dam thing unistalled even in safe mode. I am about to clear CMOS so if I don't show up to host coops today, that is why.

I have used Ultra VNC and Windows Messenger remote. Both work well. Colin also has another one he likes.
