Thank you.

Also:
http://www.k9squadrons.com/files/missio ... s_list.php (will list/browse and allow download).
http://www.k9squadrons.com/files/missio ... upload.php will allow upload of single files.
Again this can be accessed via the menu->resources->missions, button needs sorting out on the browse page

Again artwork for the above categories would be good, and help much appreciated as this has taken up a lot of time for Jeremy and I. I've enjoyed it though!
Okay, to both test it out and because I wanted the skin available for use, I uploaded a Nightfighter skin for Mosquito IV's by SeaNorris. I got it from Flying Legends. http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=3353. I included the author name on the JPG image. Is this kinda what you had in mind?
BTW, for those of you flying this Thursday, you might want to download this skin and put it in your skin folder for the Mosquito. I am using it for two of the missions we will be flying.

That's great - just what we are looking for.
Good idea to put authors name on jpg too
Screenshot from mission is also a good idea, if you have any other screenshots that we may be able to use on the web pages themselves, although Arsenal does keep coming up with original images....!!

A/C list will be put on server tonight, thanks Dave
Credit must be given to skin/mission creators.

Artwork
Yup I need some artwork now guys, skins page could do with some screen grabs displaying skins.
I could do with a hand on listing the ac types so I can populate the skin folders ready to take uploads.
You may notice that we can now browse the skins folder, and indeed upload skins direct from the page....by a new method
Try it: (you can access this from the skins page too)
http://www.k9squadrons.com/files/skins/skins_list.php (will list/browse and allow download.

Neat trick that this does is it will also do a thumbnail, but it has to be a jpg so if you have a nice skin: do a screen grab, make it a jpg (size not too critical) give it the same name as your skin.
See the spit skins folder for an example of the thumbnail
Access is open for anyone to upload until I implement password protection....
Same needs for missions listings, I need campaign areas etc. to create the structure.
Ditto for screens, except I just need ideas on how to structure that. I'm thinking by size/resolution. Say 1024 x 768 folders and 1600 x 1200 etc?
Tracks....Campaign track listings, training and humour?
Again artwork for the above categories would be good, and help much appreciated as this has taken up a lot of time for Jeremy and I. I've enjoyed it though!

OMFG that was so funny
-
Thanks Hats off to Jeremy though!
Really nice work he's doing there..
-
Helen thought I did a cracking job on the installation.
Very punny
-
Wow Weasel has done some great work there BG
So why did you think it needed nailing again?
-
I'll post some up for you later, busy on the website side at the moment.
In order for the fps to be meaningful we should use the Black Death track, from 30sec to 2:30.
Resolution @ 1024 x 768?
I usually run at 1600 x 1200 so could post those too.
Bear in mind that there are many tweaks that can be done (there was a monster thread on UBI over this a month or two back) that will skew figures one way or the other.
-
Guys, if you are sending skins around the 'net how about sending some to me?
I can chuck them up here for us to download ;)

'Our users have posted a total of 541 articles'
I think says it.
I'm sorry that it is taking so long to fully crystallize, we are working on making the 'Kennel' a show piece we can all be proud of.
We will shortly have email addresses too, they will be in the form of 'your nick' @ k9squadrons.com.
For example b16enk@k9squadrons.com.
If you are interested please let me know, the email address can be forwarded to another email address of your choice.........

I'll go on the record. DD_ has it for me. (note the underscore character ).
Brings back a child hood memory, my younger brother and I were loonies on bikes, the DDD's, 'Daring Dare Devils'. Not quite the same but I guess you get the gist.
If we (as a squad) meet up with another then flying as DD_ournick seems appropriate, and pretty much the way it is done elsewhere

Raptors are quick, but your needs sound like they are of a more capacity requirement.
WD and Maxtor drives are both good, I have WDC WD2000JS (190Gb formatted) as my main drives. They are good value.
RAID....well I would avoid it, not worth the time or fiscal investment considering the benefits and the downside if one fails (goodbye all data).

I had no idea where I was supposed to be going either Dave, managed to meet Col. Cup en-route though
-
Nice, I liked the second one - where I have wandered off with my AI wingman in tow!
Nice skin, I don't recall my spit being dressed up in that!
Is it time we collated our skin collections?
I for one have none  but will be more than happy to upload them here for us to share.....
-
Good points raised there Glenn
Announcements are a great idea, very simple to implement and we need only log into the forum briefly to see if there is any action on
I'll not vote on the West Coast business

Cold Turkey and one day at a time it is, two weeks tonight
Mrs has asthma, not a good combo with smoking so added incentive for us both.....that and our 5 yr old quoting nicotine replacement adverts to us
-
I'm up for it, nicotine replacement therapy
Was a blast last night
-
Waldo....you are a genius, despite what the others said!
Excellent picture, do you know what the copyright status is on it?
If there is copyright I could get a photo of a hut @ Duxford we could use as a basis....
-
Slow but sure, we are part-timers after all
Just to show you some of the excellent work Arsenal is turning out for us (I get the easy stuff applying html to it ):
The 'About us' page is basically the template we'll be using.
Now out of 'testing phase' and live so to speak, some updates to be completed on DDs, HHs and various resources pages.
-
Agreed.
Except the only word that goes through my mind is 'Down Boy'. I can count too usually, until distracted.
And as that is vaguely dog related..........
-
Hmmm.
Tried it on my other work PC, and lo and behold!
I should have kept me mouth shut squire!
Some weird thing about Firefox 1.51 possibly (it works in IE just fine and in older version of Firefox).
Cool edit on a cool image
