wheelsup_cavu
from SimHQ(dot)com to SimHQ(dot)net. Quote Source: https://simhq.net/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4652440#Post4652440 By RacerGT on 09/10/24 04:06 AM We have moved everything under simhq.com to simhq.net effective immediately. Everything will continue to operate as it has been but will be under the simhq.net domain name. While we have redirects in place for all content under the simhq.com domain to simhq.net including the forums, articles, posts, etc, the main redirect for the root of simhq.com to simhq.net will only be active for a few days, please update your bookmarks as appropriate. The reason for the move is that the simhq.com domain (not the content) has been sold to a friend who will be using it for racing simulations. While it looks like the move was done successfully, there may be some references to simhq.com that will need to be updated. If anything comes up please reply to this thread and we will look into it. It was important that even though the domain was sold and the new owner was not interested in the content, that I keep the community and it's history alive, we appreicate your understanding and hope the move is as seamless as possible. Thank you. Your current username and password should allow you to enter the updated/altered site without any problems. Wheels
wheelsup_cavu
As I expected the move of the main site from the .com domain to the .net domain deleted the forum archives that had been hosted at the .net domain since 2008. There were still several threads with relevant information in the IL-2 Sturmovik archives. Not the least of which was the DGen studies thread. I was hoping that the archived threads had just been rolled back into the current version of the .net forums but no such luck. ☹️ Wheels
T_O_A_D
I'm on lunch and no real time to chase this, but have you looked into the wayback stuff https://web.archive.org/web/20240505021333/https://www.simhq.com/
wheelsup_cavu
When I first found the problem with the SimHQ Archives the Internet Archive was under a DDos attack and had been down for a few days. https://duckduckgo.com/?va=d&t=ha&q=internet+archive+ddos+attack&ia=web It is up but it is still in read only mode. No edits and no new content is being added at the moment. There was only 1 save of the DGen Studies thread which was captured in 2018. https://web.archive.org/web/20180429205040/http://simhq.net/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1708223/1.html Considering there is a high probability that I generated this save I suspect that most of the SimHQ.net archived threads will not even have one save at the Internet Archive. To help keep the information more readily accessible I have added it to the M4T Knowledge Base.
