This one was running for 6 hours, then restarted. I've decreased that to three hours - reason: If someone (sweper!) joins the tank range, he/she might clear it out completely, leaving nothing for others that join later!

Or... Is there a different way to reset it? Destroy a target on the opposite side (behind the players tank?) that triggers a respawn? Hm, lots of work probably, result may not be worth the effort...

Could Sweper clear it out in 6 hours? Asking for a friend!! 😏

I wouldnt like the SU-122. Is it me or is the gunner set up pants? Tried to use it eventually realised I had to open the visor and then when I fired a shot the whole thing went up in flames :(

I’ve not managed to work it out yet! There must be a way and when I get time I’ll play with it until I know how to work it.

  3. Firstly, thank you Colin for another thoroughly enjoyable expedition in tons of metal. The following are IMHO

    • More enemy in multi waves that may be force a withdraw and the need to resupply ammo and repair
    • Perhaps like the P-38's players could have character names which may encourage life longevity
    • If the enemy are there on the map but dormant until triggered could the trigger points not be a large circle around the enemy 2-3 km for static locations 5 km for rolling enemies and 10 km for airborne enemies
    • Well hidden enemy awaiting in ambush (top camouflage)
    • The re-spawn could be delayed - any long drive back across terrain to rejoin your unit should be made more difficult with enemy loitering to make life hard work and perhaps distract you team from their mission as they return to assist you. (nothing like a bi of peer pressure)

    2 bobs worth

I loved the sneaky Germans on Saturday night too. All in all the learning curve from the week before was steep but very obviously useful. The 2 units and radio channels worked very well.

I heard FT's chat about not coordinating the final assault after the regroup. Fair shout I think. We had survived up to that point and had missed a chance to re-brief before kicking off for the final blast.

I am sure that there is more but my brain is sleepy so I am off to my maggot.

    Cheers again Colin

I am inserting my feet into my thermals just thinking about it. I am very much looking forward to this little outing and as well as thermals will bring all I need to keep me warm.

I am not attached to any number sentimentally so if I am allocated one I will wear it with pride.

Best I get me skins downloaded tomorrow and try to get my TIR sorted.

Nice one worker bees See you Saturday. (tomorrow)

  5. Hello Gents

I know its been a while since I last socialised with you guys and you may be thinking "who is this handsom bastard posting on our forum" Well yes its me PARTS. Since we last spoke I have had a lot happen in my life. To be quite honest I am glad to see the back of 2013 I just hope that all of us have a great 2014! and for those that did have a good 2013 I take my cap off to ya.

I have been doing some upgrading on the home PC and have been advised by Painless that if I stuck my old graphics card on herre that one of you gents might make me a sensible offer?

The card is a AMD Radeon 4870 never been messed about with always worked well and is up for offer.

Cheeky I know but I wouldnt be advertising it here if it wasnt for Painless. I am sure that you can chat with him about the card if you'd like to. He can give you my details if need be.

Keep well DD'z Parts "out"
