I recently heard about something called an I-Plate which is some kind of filter to improve internet connection, I also heard about cutting the 'ringer/bell wire' which in effect leads to the same performance (according to many sites) gain, my question is: will it be really worth risking it or not?

the caravan really is quite small, we do have a 5 man tent if that helps (only one double airbed though)

It can get frustrating sometimes with the lag issues and the stupid super heavy tanks (which I have noticed seem to be more common after about 7pm my time) but as Kimosabi mentioned, it is a beta and there will be some issues that should be resolved in time. I have just spent the last 15mins looking at the WoT website for cheats/hacks and the general consensus is that it would be very difficult to hack a server side game such as this.

I have a few logins the main one is actually Abraxas25 with which I have/had a Su85 and a KV, then Zoolydog in which I was very close to a T34 in the A20 and a fully powered up Luchs and Leopard. I will however use my DD_Zooly tag more after the reset.

When its back up and running it might be a good idea to save some credits and xp for the release of the US tanks at the end of september, some nice TDs like the Wolverine which should be capable of hurting panthers and maybe tigers

I'm going for a T-34 from A-20 and trying hard to upgrade my new KV (that thing is so sloooow) but the T-28 with the 85 gun is pretty capable for a low medium.

Open beta should start soon so no code will be needed also a 'softwipe' will be done as a newer version is due shortly so all data upto that point will be lost/erased. I cannot recommend this game highly enough, its fun with just the right mix of action and sim.

I have tried online play but the game plays very differently to Il2 and the people who do play tend to be pretty good at flying antiques.

Might it be the processor overheating? check your fan is running as it sounds very similar to the issue I had with constant failing and inability to actually start the computer.

when my vid card failed I'm pretty sure I got the bios beep but I may be wrong (it has happened once or twice in the past), hope you get it sorted ASAP mate.
