Hey Snacko..
Just thinking about storage space - once the beta is installed (as a separate install) can the original install be deleted?
-
Exciting stuff Jack...
-
Sorry Jack,
I thought I had left a reply to thank you for posting this update - very interesting.

Good idea

I pre-ordered the other day - didn't want to miss the first deadline (1st October)
Sounding like a friggin DCS rep

A poll to measure the level of interest in this new product and a reminder for those intending to take advantage of the pre-purchase incentives.

The best CPU is always the next one up from the one you can afford!

In my previous post I said that I had just installed them.. ;-)

Not sure what you're getting at... thought the link would be useful to others and mentioned I was also testing. Anyway, it seems to be working fine... tested with ROF approx 4 hours - no issues... H.U.D software also seems to be working properly now (as it was before the upgrade to windows 10) - thanks again Snacko for telling me about the beta... I was starting to get really peed off with Saitek not addressing the issues sooner. May also be worth me mentioning (in case others are wondering) that I followed the instructions very carefully and didn't have to set up any of my controllers again. I think the key is to make sure that when you plug the controllers back in after the reboot that you use the same USB ports.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for this one matey... don't have FB myself but the Mrs is very grateful.

DD_Arthur,
I know it's been some time (2 yrs) since you posted this YT video but I've just watched it - what a nice guy!
Thanks

This will effect anyone using the HUD software on Windows 10
No further update from Saitek at the moment

Hi DD_Brando,
Too right ... please bear me in mid when you get set up...
-
Yes, that was a planning cun which, no doubt, would have held good around the time of it's implementation but these days the Mrs only has to make a formal application under the freedom of information act to the Bank Of Dad Ltd and you're knackered. In the interest of risk mitigation, you need to sneak that yellow asset out of your chez without delay... tell you what... since you helped me out, I owe you a favour... so, I'll pop round in the morning for it...

Hi DD_Arthur,
Thanks for your help, I'll use the info to fill in a few gaps and have another look at the manual. I've managed to get most of the info I need by watching Requiem's excellent tutorial's on Youtube. Incidentally, I've also read quite a few of your earlier posts (must have been dated around the time you first got into RoF). If memory serves me right, in one such post you mention having totted up the cost of your RoF hangar and revealing that you'd spent $200 on content - that's a serious collection of planes - did the Mrs ever find out?
-
"Support pack...?" Where'd you see that?
As illustrated!

Another nice teaser...

Yeahhhhhh.... can't believe it... followed your advice, put a ticket in and I'm on the list for a FREE map!
-
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to compile a library of Pilot Notes for all my RoF planes.
Requiem's Youtube tutorials are GREAT but he doesn't cover the start-up and landing procedure for these ones:
Albatros D.II
Pfalz D.111a
Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter
Sopwith Pup
Sopwith Dolphin
Bristol F2B (F.II)
Can anyone help?
Maybe the procedure for these ones are the same as other similar planes - if so, please advise
Kind regards / fingers crossed
-
Hi DD_Brando,
A few years on since you kindly took the trouble to upload these maps but still nevertheless very much appreciated by RoF newbies like me.
I think I'll make these maps readily available via my touchscreen so I can plan more precisely where I'm going to crash!
Hahahahahaha

Thanks Snacko,
I'll see if I can get a positive answer as to whether the orginal file can be deleted and if I do I'll update this thread
