  1. This is the support topic for the tutorial Give Your X52 Some Feeling. Please post here if you have any questions or feedback.

We shouldn't post in the other thread anymore? Ugh, confusing :P

I did a bit of research. What I figured out is that IL-2 can only set curves by conf.ini for the first active device. Is that correct?

If so it could be possible that the force feedback would only work on that stick? You mentioned that your forcefeedback device is controller #4 and it works. So are the curves and all the settings applied to all connected controllers then?

But then again, if I look at the controller properties I cannot seem to get a single forcefeedback settings tab. I do assume that forcefeedback will not work because of that anyways. Sadly there is no other way to test it for me. I haven't found a tool that tests forcefeedback yet.

Maybe the best thing would be to actually research a gamepad with rumble function that has drivers for windows 7 64bit.

  2. Actually no! I don't have forcefeedback=1 in my conf.ini or settings although I set the little switch ingame to on (and it keeps glowing even after I start the game again).

Could you eventually pm me a copy of your conf.ini crash? Maybe there is something wrong with it - I'd like to compare them if possible.

  3. Ugh, finally I found the thread again. I came across it a couple of days ago and thought: neat idea, you should try to do the same. But of course, I lost it. Searching for it again however was a mess so I'll drop some keywords now. ;P

Force Feedback, Gamepad, Modification, Mod, Joystick, FF, ForceFeedback

Now that that's done I must admit I can't even get my force feedback gamepads to work with IL-2. I have a couple. A logitech, a Saitek no-name editition (called Impact) and a MS-Tech SF-15 or something like that. But none of them, even after installing the drivers, gives me any force feedback whatsoever. I could fly the Airplane with the pad but it didn't rumble on stall or gear out. Did it work for you just out of the box or is a special trick necessary?
