P-thirty-who?
Know it well Dave old fruit. Some of air-2-air footage is particularly delightful.
Others are out there for the -51, -47 & P-40 for those who are interested.
Warhawk one is particularly interesting; no full flaps until you are practically at the threshold and KNOW you are landing and NO 3 pointing - period!

Heard the same this morning.
I remember seeing Mr Walker on that documentary presented by the McGregor brothers; struck me as a true gentlemen, with the humilty, wit and decency that so seem to typify the men of his breed.
As far as him being the last; hmmmm. As far as I know Geoff Wellum & Tom Neil are still with us and they flew in the Battle...
Geoff was with 92 Squadron and they flew - though I don't know if he specifically did - on 15th September 1940 from Biggin Hill. Would surprise me if he wasn't amongst them.
Tom Neil flew Hurricanes with 249 squadron throughout the battle and did pretty well too.
I suspect the media are lambasting this across the pages/airwaves/cyberspace without having thoroughly checked their information. Surprise surprise!
- beat me to it again Kev! Daily Mail, eh? Them? Getting facts wrong? Never!
I Think Sid's Gonna Enjoy This...

Best bit? For me it's the external camera shots over the cokpit from the nose and watching the prop- and wing-tip vortices as he pulls through those half cubans... Phwoar!
