  1. And in related news....
  2. When in Russia I don't think you have much choice when told. I did think hard about it but IL2 is very old and DCS doesn't really do propeller stuff, sure as hell doesn't do it well. I'll console myself by donating 10x what I spent on IL2 Korea to Ukraine charities like NAFO, Cars for Ukraine, Saneth via Suchomimus, Jake Broe, Professor Gerdes and Greg Terry. I'm about halfway there.

  4. Nobody more surprised than me with a head on lethal hit at that range. Thought we would do lots of trading.
  5. I used the original map and broke it into 2 sections, enlarged the headings and added elapsed times, one from takeoff and another timer from the French coast. England transit is at 2450rpm and around 6 boost. France times, 2600rpm and 8 boost. NOTE: When I flew it a couple of headings didn't work well. Originals are there with a line through with the corrected (suggested) heading having a question mark. If you can use a map they are here. Wingflyer is trying to convert them for use on the DCS kneeboard but we aren't sure they'll be ready in time.
  6. We did the .lua file and the 4 of us (Wing, Zukker, Sherrif and myself) have been practicing together hoping to fly as a flight. Dress rehearsal tonight for the big show tomorrow. Curious about loadout (external bombs?) fuel load and F10 map settings(own plane visible?)
  7. Thanks folks, The Yorkshire tastes fine, 2 bags in a 16oz cup (500ml) is my usual brew (leave the bags in till the cup is empty... of course). It came out a bit weaker than I'm used to but the bag contents seem a bit lighter than my usual brand of Red Rose, however the taste was similar. As above B3 or maybe a C2 is what I see but my oat milk doesn't play as nice as the real stuff, passable taste but it doesn't stay mixed as well as the real stuff.
  8. Demo came out Feb 24. Anyone try it? I tried the Wildcat that didn't impress but felt as it should. The Zero flew just how I would have thought it should. Reminded me of how great the planes flew in Blitz. Incomplete as hell, graphics horrible but it flies right....
  9. A serious question here but I don't want to start a war as I'm going to guess that to invite the opinion of many of you this topic is as dangerous as politics or religion. I got a sample box of Yorkshire Tea dropped at my door (I'm guessing some promotion). It's not something I've ever seen before in stores here so the question is : Is it the legendary brew Youtube suggests or (much like our own Tim Horton's) straight to the compost bin?
  10. Sorry but you're 5,500 km away from me now, Vancouver is 3,500km away in the opposite direction.... not much of an improvement. Wave when you cross the Great Lakes though....
  11. I asked and I'm the only one with any conflict so.....
  12. Sorry folks but I have to back out. Our backs are against the wall in the match against the 352nd and we're still shorthanded. I need to be there.
  13. I'll fly a Mossie but I don't think I'll commit to lead yet. Maybe if I get time for a few practice flights first.
  14. Any guess how we're doing regarding funding? The drop down box says we're currently working on 2024 and have 137% of the requirements.
