Oldtimer
What do you do? We built an Annexe for the aged in-laws so that help would be on hand when needed. Today, at about 10am, Mrs In law appears and says could they have some tea as they had run out and Mr In law wasn't feeling too well. Rattler
Oi! Are they normally like this, or is it a new development? Kudos for doing it in the first place, mate. It's rare to find someone who'll help out the in-laws like you are.
Lothar
Now that's really nice of you, good luck with it!
Perfesser
While not an expert in such matters it seems to me they feel they're an imposition to you or they would have asked. The hardest thing for my parents was the loss of their independence ....... "oh don't worry, I don't want to be a bother". Mom ..... there's no HEAT in the house. They were simply embarrassed that someone had to do things for them. I suggest stopping by just to say hello where they mention things while just chatting .... BadAim
OT, It'll be O.K. as soon as you develop the ability to read minds, it's really not that hard you know. I can't do it mind you, and niether can anyone else I know, but I hear it's not so tough, well our parents don't think it's so tough anyhow. Oh, screw it; welcome to Hell OT, at least it's furnished nicely.
