DDz Quorum Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 I get the install option in the Readme, Install, Start, Uninstall, Exit list, blacked out when I put the disk in. I'm sure I have heard of this before but can't remember the fix. You have registry and/or install shield remnants the installer is picking up, correctly identifying the game has previously been installed. Copy (not cut 'n paste) the folders back to Program Files, then control panel -> add/remove software and un-install. The load screen is the same (corsair)...it loads in about 15 seconds!, I thought i saw that there are extra hotas controls in the input screen, but i dont get them.... As I'm too lazy to try to read 3 pages (ok, I'm hopeless with a computer and would just bugger it up), I'm going to: take a copy of 1946 (fully patched etc) install 4.09 into it. run it as a 4.09m patched stand-alone with no switcher or anything. do I need anything else?
