Wow Bojan, those are some beautiful mountains. Looks a lot like the mountains around here. Especially the Uinta mountains.

We have lots of Swiss heritage up in the Heber valley/Park city area. They settled in those places because it reminded them of the Alps they had left behind. :)

It's also nice to find out more about the places the military rifles (picked-up a Yugo SKS this winter) I've collected have come from.

Slovenia is east of Italy, north west of Croatia.

There - Canada's honour is preserved, but I'm a history major too......

Well we are all colonels :bg:

Colonels can't use maps - they have batmen to figure out where they are for them.

~S~ Bojan,

So whats the ratio of males to females out of that 2,000,000 ?? LOL

If I have understood you correctly you are asking about females. Well there is 51% female and 49% male population. Since you like girls, I have enclosed photo of miss 2007.

It's times like this I wish My computer could see shots posted within the site.

I rode a Slovenian made Tomos moped for about a year, and they are very popular (though not many are seen) and well made. They also make the engines for BMW motorcycles, as it was found they can hold the tolerances better than BMW can.

I want to get another one at some point.

Postojna caves

There are many caves in Slovenia, but this is the most famous one. I have visited it many times. The funniest part I remember was when I brought a friend from Korea. Close to the end of the tour he became brave enough and touched one of the vertical stones. He was deeply impressed by the touch and said “I thought this was made from mudâ€

~S~ Bojan,

Awsome pictures and a real education to boot ! Keep them comming M8 :)

Nice to hear that the Nazis got their ammo dump blown up , excellent work !! ;)

Pete, it seems that the "officer" theory lives on....we have a thing called the "square of fire" consisting of four elements. If any ONE of these elements is removed at a job the fire will go out ......

Oh man :o Caves & mountains!

Next you'll tell me about all the abandoned mines & tailings piles to play in.

I need to make enough money to go see these places. Well at least you share the pics. :)

The dirty old man I am is agreeing with GK though. What are the women like?

Versatile Slovenia.

Last time I have showed the Alpine part of Slovenia with hills and mountains. This time I am going to show the flat lands of Slovenia called Prekmurje.

Prekmurje is the easternmost region of Slovenia. It borders Hungary to the north-east, Austria to the north-west, Croatia to the south and the Slovenian region of Styria to the south-west. It is named after the Mura River, which separates it from the rest of Slovenia (a literal translation from Slovene would be Over-Mura or Transmurania

Prekmurje is an agriculture area known for different food crops and wine yards. The most famous Prekmurje product is pottery and “prekmurska gibanicaâ€
