Well, Well, Salute Sir.

If you can find time from taking the Canadian political system by force then you will need to pick up the IL2 Great Battles series. We do not fly IL2 1946 any more.

Get it from https://il2sturmovik.com/

It is more pay to fly with DLC content than 46'

If you pick up the "premium" versions of the releases it works out as best value.

Cheers

Friar

Hello JP!!!!!:salute:

Get 'em all while the sale is on.  Bodenplatte is the latest and greatest so it's not on sale yet but it's got the aircraft we usually fly.

The Great Battles series is completely separate from IL2 1946.  We don't use '46 anymore.  1C Games sent Oleg to the Lubyanka after the debacle that was Cliff's of Dover and Il2 has basically become a franchise.  The Great Battles series - with an American producer running a development team in Moscow - is where we are now.

Get em' here

 https://il2sturmovik.com/

It looks like this;

We fly this every Tuesday evening at @7.30 gmt and Sundays 7.30 gmt.   Hopefully, someone who knows these things will pm you T/S details soon.

Very nice to see you here again.  Now we just need Rattler's wife to excommunicate him and he can fly with us too!:thumbsu:

As you will be able to see JP, we've managed to nail the issue of everyone taking off...

Hello Mobius.  Good to see you:salute:.  We use Team Speak 3 and hopefully someone will be along shortly to give you the details.

JP and yourself should check out Sid's thread on X52 set up here;

and perhaps have a look through this thread;

and even this one;

We are using Mods.  However,  mods in the IL2 Great Battles series are nothing like mods were in '46.  Two different game engines completely that handle the concept of mods in entirely different ways.

Hi Mobius, good to hear from you again mate. Just one thing to bear in mind regarding mods (for you and JP) , in order to connect to our servers you will need to run the game in 'mods on' mode even if you're not using them yourself. That's because if you want to run mods locally on your machine (like a lot of the guys do) then the server has to be running 'mods on' as well and therefore everyone connecting to that server also need to run 'mod on' irrespective of whether or not they use mods themselves. There's a checkbox in the Game menu under Settings to turn mods on when you get to that point. If you decide you want to use mods, then the best way is to use JSGME just like in '46 and there are a few helpful threads on the IL-2 forum explaining how to go about setting that up.

PM sent with the TS details.

HEre is my profile and spreadsheet explaining the setup

note some key bindings are non standard, I put a bit of work into getting my BoX and Il2 46 key bindings to match so check everything

the bombing keys havnt been set up properly yet as Iv still to understand the differences between il2 and BoX when level bombing

OK, I will also chime in and say that I also dusted off my joystick (The dusty one).

Ran into Psycho on FB yesterday and am really wanting to get the system up again.

I really am stoked that you all still fly together. It was like a family when I was around and I missed you all. (Even though I couldn't understand most of you....Delta)

Looks like I need to purchase a new game  :)
