Fruitbats endorsed mods for BoX

Recommended Posts

Here is a screenie of my installed mods for BoX , that I am using and give my seal of approval for....

I'll up-date this as and when new stuff or improved versions thereof become available.

On some maps (winter generally) I prefer the old sky mod, and the Moscow summer replacement for the Moscow autumn map is purely aesthetical but i much prefer its look over the standard textures.

Better save a clean install before you start with any of this. There won't be any official support.   In case any have a short memory ..... .. Fecking mods.......

Some of them are Todd. The rest we’ll have to get to.

I think it would be a good idea to decide if mods will be on for squad nights.

I host with mods on.

When it comes to IL2 BoX, forget about everything you understand about mods in IL2 1946.

It's a totally different way of doing things.

At last;  someone is fiddling with icon mods:goodjob:  What do you think of this?

No big pointy arrows or distance markers, etc.  Would this be good for new starters to the game or using VR?  Installs via JSGME.

Oh yeah; I've been using this too.  It's great, no more dayglo nav lights visible from ten miles away......

Okay, color me ignorant, but the only JSGME I have is for 1946. I assume there is a different one for other games?

Make a copy of the jsgme.exe and a mod folder in your BoX data folder (I think thats the place) and do like 1946

Thanks arthur , makes the game playable for me now , need to get some practice in.

Gypsy see here for installing jgsme for BOX. I downloaded the file and put it into my battle of stalingrad main folder, there is a pdf guide in the download with instructions. I prefered a seperate install for il246 and BOX
