DD_Brando
What are you running with now? Will parts of it be reusable? Case - fans - hard drive(s) - optical drive(s) may be reused unless you have a Dell. Scan.co.uk is a good online store with a good range and very dependable delivery service. OverDhill
IMHO I doubt the memory will be comparable. Most likely the only things usable in a new PC build are the case, power supply (if high enough wattage), and drives. The MB, CPU and memory are usually changed out together and the video card because it too is probably slow compared to today's standard. One reason I always just handed down my older computers and built a new one. I also look at the break point from a cost/performance point of view. Better to buy a decent PC now and then later replace it with another decent one down the road than to spend big bucks on a cutting edge one now (unless what you are running software wise needs that extra 20-30% performance). For gaming there is not much difference between an i5 and an i7. So unless your doing video editing you can save about $100 US there. Not sure about over the pond pricing. DD_Arthur
Hello Dave. If you intend to run BoS you'll be needing a quad core in the 3.8ghz plus range and a graphics card in the Nvidia 760 plus range to do it justice.

DD_Brando
There's a lot to be said for buying a cheap bundle http://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/custom/professional-gaming-pc/overclocked-bundles

delta7
Is this bad? seems to be the card of choice for this price range of PC
Crash
The thing to consider is that it is a very important part of a system that you will be using for years. I feel that you might be selling yourself a bit short with this.
OverDhill
I tend to agree. I have a 660 Superclocked and it runs pretty much anything I throw at it but it is getting long in the tooth by today's standards and the 750 is a lot slower than the 660. I would really suggest getting at least a 760 or a 770 if you can afford it. I think you will be disappointed when you try and run IL-2 CLOD or DCS at a higher graphics setting. Here is mine http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SUPERCLOCKED-Graphics-02G-P4-2662-KR/dp/B00966IREK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416425766&sr=8-1&keywords=nvidia+660 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5H0bsRFTKs
DD_Arthur
Agree with the guys above. When it comes to the demands made by flight sims I'd say in all practical terms the performance of that 750 will be very similar to your 460. If I'm reading the website right, an extra fifty squid will get you a
Crash
Use this site to see what the difference is. You can change what you are comparing http://www.hwcompare.com/17153/geforce-gtx-460-oem-vs-geforce-gtx-750/
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted November 20, 2014 2. Administrators Share Posted November 20, 2014 The *50 nvidia cards are the worst nvidia card of a range, generally worse than the *60 & 70 and defiantly worse than the *80 of the previous generation. I would only ever consider buying a *60 or better (*60Ti's are probably best bang for buck at any given time), as the *50's are not really value for money imo, they are cheap because they are not that great. delta7
Im afraid thats all I can budget for just now so Ill see how it goes Iv only a 22 inch monitor so max res is 1680 *1050 . I still play il2 at 1024*768 as I can see the dots better at this resolution so its only the other games I have to worry about. Ill overclock the fecker and see what it gives and if its still shite then Ill put a better one in next year. Thanks for all your help Dave
