Yeah, I did not make the effort to set them up on the bridge and all just for the pictures.... but the idea is clear: The scenery  of the bridge's city side will be the filming of a scene of the movie 'A Bridge Too Far'   :)

Used this picture of the actual situation back in '76 for inspiration:

FT, would it not be better to have the traffic BEHIND the camera car to avoid it being in shot?

Yes but, No but, ... No problem, I've asked, and they said "That'll easily be buffed out later" ....

And, yes, well, behind the camera, there's no bridge no more...

And if I face the camera the other way, there'll be noting to film!

Truly a work art FT! The use of American vehicles, including the 58 Chevy Impala is cool. I hope everyone in town that sees it appreciates all the work you put into the model and its history. You are probably educating a new generation that probably has no clue of the historical importance the bridge represents.

Look, the car collection is nearing completion, I found a bus!

Was a bit of a gamble, as the scale was not mentioned on the box...

Looks okay to me though...

Here's some more cars I got recently, all from the Internet shopping, except for the Bus that is...

Quiz time, as who recognizes the two really famous cars here?

And also, once again apart from the Bus, guess make and model of 'm all... winner gets.... the honour of winning  :shaunhb:

Does the Ferrari have something to do with either Steve McQueen or Ferris Bueller and his day off?  As to the other; is that the er....Plymouth whateveritwas from Stephen King's novel "Christine" OR is the burgundy pick up the same model Rutger Hauer drove in "The Hitcher"?

lol... yeah... well, it's just the scale... 1/64th is popular in the USA, not so much over here :)

I can get me a Renault 4, even in Dutch 'Wegenwacht'  - AAA road service (?) but for a price I can get me three American models, or a truck...

And basically, that 50's/60's/70's Mericans are much easier on the eye...

(Oh man, look at this entire thread, and think about it a bit, can't you tell I've completely lost it? I really do not know what I am doin', isn't that obvious? There's no reason here, there's no logic!)
