Our Clod Server: Changes To The Currently Running Mission

And now, after many many requests (Well, actually, just one) the weather will change each and every mission/server re-start.

 

Weather will vary from Clear, to Light Clouds and Medium Clouds.

Cloud height will vary between 500 and 7500 meters.

Wind speed and direction will change, max windspeed some 8m/s, I think, I hope... Direction, well, literally, it will be all around the map :)

Hopefully the newly built EU server will perform better than the now deceased previous incarnation, and for my next trick - upgrading the forums and moving them (and team speak) to the new server..

The Battle Area is now set similar to SOW server, so our base is in the same grid on SOW as on our servers...

It goes for the entire grid, so Manston and other locations will be in the same grid over here as over there... but that's kinda obvious now, isn't it...

Finally figured out how to properly end the server/mission.

So we won't be flying around in it off line so to speak.

Mind you, this is all about timings, and the chat messages sent like "mission restart in 5 minutes" are timed in a different process than the actual mission end. :shaunhb: :P

Whether it works okay, I cannot tell yet... will find out only at time of a mission end ... fingers crossed!

New spawn bases:

Cherbourg West, Fighters

Cherbourg East, Fighters

RAF West Malling

RAF Rochford

All Red Spawn bases for fighters now have the same, limited a/c list:

  Aircraft.HurricaneMkI_100oct
  Aircraft.SpitfireMkIa_100oct
  Aircraft.SpitfireMkIIa
  Aircraft.DH82A

 

except for the Hurricane air spawn points, and the bomber bases.

Some bases have the list of the 4 fighters ánd the Blenheim IV and IVF

Still fighting the timings, as it appears, the ATAG Watchdog álso has a timer in it, I had forgotten about that... so... well, maybe in 9 hours I can check whether it all finally ends the way I want it to end... :)

Looks like it's not a server-RAM issue, more like it's the game that can't really handle itself.

It goes up to about 1.7GB of memory, and by that time, it just appears to be very reluctant in responding to any console commands ... 

But, running it for 6 instead of 9 hours is not really an issue, for sure there will be more interruptions, but as it's only once every six hours, no worries there!

Is there anyway to get more Allied AI flights, and make them smarter?

I was in a 109 the other night and killed 10 Lancasters in one flight most of them I shot the pilot.

It shouldn't be that easy, I killed a flight of Beaufighters a few weeks ago, but they fought hard to kill me, even head on passes.
