Sunflower
Pull your hand back from that D-Link DI-604. I just purchased one with funds generously thrown at me by a neighbor whose computers I have been keeping running or, in one case, diagnosing a bad motherboard as the culprit rather than the Manly Browsing Habits of the guys in the house. 1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted November 24, 2006 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted November 24, 2006 Nice post Sunflower, as is your Routers 'n kid s one too. I have just switched from a Linksys/ADSL modem router to a cable modem (supplied by my ISP) and a Linksys router. I should know hte model number, but would need to trek upstairs to the study where it resides. My old router couldn't tell the time, bloody annoying as it is a diagnostic necessity when talking to your ISP about frequent disconnects, plus if scheduling is desired. Sadly there was no way to input the date/time manually... This new model, while a little bulkier and more purposeful in appearance, tells the time just fine and has one of those neat 'single click security' features . I favour Linksys myself now, and would use Netgear too. Belkin are also reasonably good, and can put out a good strong wireless signal. Sunflower
I am a little disappointed that this piece of kit is inadequate- the case is small and far more attractive than the Linksys.
