Guess The Aircraft!

Right then chaps, how about a little quiz?

Here's how it works...

I'm going to post an obscure picture of an aircraft and you have to guess what it is.

If it's proving difficult, i'll post further pictures, getting less obscure until it's either guessed correctly or I have to reveal it.

The winner, if there is one will then have to start a new quiz in the same format.

Understood? Splendid! Let's get started...

And the winner is...

I think I got it......F-100 super sabre

Congratulations!

This example is stored outside at nearby Headcorn aerodrome, looking rather forlorn after a parachute plane crashed into it a few years ago.

To be honest it was looking worse for wear before, but since the incident (which killed the unfortunate pilot) it has been left to merge in the undergrowth.

It is reportedly owned by the USAFM and Headcorn Museum can't touch it. All rather sad.

Here are the remaining pictures... Bongo old chap it's your turn next   :)

Think Chet's got it although I did think Electra to begin with- the Electra has longer nose than the beech though and would probably obscure the engine from this angle. As the owner of a significant proboscis myself, I am only too aware of this issue.

Not just the nose on the electra but I think the cowlings rule it out too, on the electra they aren't cylindrical, they sort of narrow down at the rear periphery.

Because BA has the Beech I will stick with Cessna Bobcat......final answer.
