I also have a second PC networked for Helios (my old game machine with a E6750 and 560TI card) with a Samsung ELO 24" touchscreen.

OMG, I just re-read this. He's using a E6750 and more shockingly a GTX 560Ti for his this networked machine. No wonder it runs so good."

Hey TOAD maybe you need to test drive one of these.

Samsung 39" HDTV (low latency model)

Can you give us the exact model ODhill?

I had posted that

Samsung UN39EH5003 39-Inch 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV (check the reviews on Amazon and many use it for gaming. I also read other forums mentioning this model before I ordered it)

I have read that the frequency matters little when displaying from a PC. All in all I think it has a nice picture and I don't see any tearing.

As for UDP Speed.... I also posted that being written in Java it needs quite a bit of horsepower to display the gauges. On the E6750 OC'd to 3.2GHZ it takes 54% of the CPU when they are not even being updated. This is with a EVGA 560ti Ferma graphics card.

This DVI splitter

And very high quality cables

I did already, I posted about it further up the thread.

I've settled on this 27" Monitor, it fits my desk better, has better picture quality when doing windows things for sure, at the distance I sit from it, and for my setup better gaming quality also.

A little messy, and a Crappy picture but it's the best I can do @ the moment.

Well I found a couple MODS that seem to come in pretty handy. The first one is FOV Changer Mod

http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,16878.0.html

I have this bound to the CMS hat on the throttle and it works well

The second one is the PAL MiniMapV2.5 adapted for 4.111 from here

http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=27274.0

This one is really cool and using Xpadder to emulate the mouse wheel using the Coolie hat on the throttle I can zoom in and out

These both work with HSFX 6

Incidentally ODH, on the subject of aircraft to try when starting out with this, Joint-Ops use the Zero as it's relatively forgiving and straight-forward despite it's flammable tendencies.

I was mentioning my custom controller for FPSers I built to some of the guys on Teamspeak. I just finished re-building it as I switched from an old 4 Joystick to USB adapter to a GP-Wiz40 MAX USB card. This card would come in handy for any pit builders as it will emulate 40 inputs and so easy to setup.

http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=235

The controller is made from a commercial joystick and an old CH Product Pro Throttle housing. All the switches, hats and buttons are wired to the GP-Wiz.

This new setup lets me use 21 buttons at my finger tips whereas the old USB adapter limited me to 12 buttons. The joystick is wired to emulate the AWSD for movement. I also added a toggle switch to allow me to switch to an entire second set of keybinds using Xpadder as well as 4 extra buttons along the front of the base.
