Well I can't stand the dozens up updates after the install.

Well 2013 version works pretty well. I have restored a few systems many times and never had a problem.

That is why I use TrueImage to make a complete image backup to an external USB drive. Fix the drive and restore it as it was in less than 45 minutes. Also comes in handy should you ever get a virus or any other OS failure. It is well worth doing.

I was wondering if there is a certain set of maps that are usually played online together? Also if so is there somewhere I could get jpg's of them so I could study them somewhat and also maybe fly around in a quick mission offline. Remember I am sure you guys know most of them like the back of your hand.

Thats part of my problem... too many good choices out there right now. My son bought me BF4 for Xmas and I have not played it much yet. Too busy trying to get my pit finished as well as getting better at not crashing.. lol

Hard to believe that GTR2 doesn't support more than 3 controllers (the first three that appear in the Game Control Panel). For being a newer game that is surprising and frustrating I am sure for some.

After watching a video tutorial on spotting targets it mentions not setting your screen resolution too high. Just curious as to what some of you CLOD flyers have yours set to?

Some of my cousins were talking about the weather this winter and he said that a lot of the younger kids are probably thinking the end of the world is coming since it is so cold. Yet we are old enough to remember how cold it was in the 70's and early 80's when the doom and gloom people were saying we are headed for an ice age because of what men were doing. Weather is cyclic and never is the same. In the 1700's there was a mini ice age... those people were cold!!!

Yes this could make life a bit fragmented. I myself am feeling that as well with also playing some FPS games as well as Freespace 2 Open. What are the main reasons people that play IL2-1946 might not play Cliffs of Dover? Machine, features ect? I would love to see an update game night schedule. I keep missing on joining up with some of you guys.

And from I have read there is no way to adjust the curve on IL-2 COD (at least not for the trim axes).

I know this is an old thread but was wondering what the best application is that works with the current version of IL-2?

Older ones I have just seem I am convinced.. ;-)

Actually I tried that in CLOD with TF 4.0 and it was showing up in Windows desktop but would not stay on top during a game. I also liked the TF screen as well that is integrated into CLOD info windows

I was thinking of doing this to get some feedback and even ordered a rumble pad off Ebay but while I was waiting I finally managed to get my Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP Wheel to work under Windows 7 64x by using a specific driver (persistence pays off). As a result I also got a fringe benefit for IL2 as it serves as my 'rumble' for IL-2 and CLOD. When I am not using it for racing sims the wheel sits off to the side and is clamped down to a shelf I made on my pit. When the force feedback is present it will shake the entire stand. So now I get the effects.
