  1. Hi Friends. Just wanted to drop by and say Hi, sorry I've been MIA lately. As I mentioned my life is in big flux right now, so time for fun and flying has been nonexistent and will be for the foreseeable future. I'll be back at some point, just don't know when. Until then, all the best!
  2. Whilst we are on this topic... Is there a guide or FAQ or anything on how to configure a dedicated server? I managed to download, install, and patch the DS up to v4.11.1 and get it working, but I can't really find anything at all on server commands, configs, or other options. For example how to set up a map rotation, how to change maps via the console, how to enable or disable certain settings, console command lists, etc etc etc.
  3. First question is did you put hardware encryption on the hdd? My Lenovo work laptop has that option for a bios hard drive password that can only be recovered by the factory if you ever lose or forget it. Did you ever use software drive level encryption? For example, PGP Desktop or Truecrypt? I almost forgot that I had Truecrypt on a drive once, went to destroy it before I remembered at the last second. Second question is what kind of adapter is it? I've used two in my life and one wasn't worth a crap, the one one has worked wonderful but a few misses. If you can't get the adapter to work, you could always go and get one of those full external HDD enclosures. I use Vantec, and have found they work 100% of the time with recoverable drives.
  4. If someone wants me to delete them or get rid of them, by all means. I just thought it was pretty damn funny, no ill intent.

  8. Unless it hit my spam box and I missed it (pretty sure I didn't, I look pretty close at the spam folder before purging), the only email I got was from you Snacko.

  11. I'm in the chat. I guess we use teamspeak? I'll have to install that and see if I can get it working.

  13. Welcome Whaker, see you found your way here OK Re sankas mod, no it does not work with either 4.11 or HSFX6 (causes game to lock up). the only FoV mod currently that works with HSFX6 is the one Snacko listed. It does however have one slight bug, in that when you cycle through external views it adds 5 FoV for each key press, but for flying its fine, I've used it since the HSFX 6 beta. Yessir, I made it on over. Am planning on flying/crashing/burning/sobbing tonight if others are game as well. That sucks re: sanka's mods, the FOVmod and DefaultFOV mods are two of the best things by far to happen to IL2 since I abandoned CRTs ages ago. I REALLY hope TeamD fixes this with 4.12.
  14. I have not used that mod.Do you know how to make a mod work with jsgme.exe? You can just make the mod work with jsgme and try it. If it doesn't work or causes problems you can disable it. Aye, I know how to dicker around with jsgme. I'll give all of these a shot tonight after I'm done with work and dinner.
