  1. For a small project I'm in need of all the 'Default' in game skins, in the usual 1024x1024 bitmap format. Does anybody know where to find them? Or how to successfully extract them? (I can open up and extract files from fd_3do20.SFS, but this results (per plane type) into some 1Mb large .tga type files, and one 4Mb .tgb file, with which I cannot do anything..... can't open them, they are not being recognized as valid image files... Using PaintshopPro 7, IrFanView, etc.)
  2. I like the clean cut one, Question, When I hit Reply it always wants to Quote. an adjustment possibly? Just hit ' Add Reply' button, which is a bit lower on the page ...
  3. BG, Me thinks this is the purplelizer: Under [Render_OpenGL], the TexLarge=0 Change it to TexLarge=1.
  4. They do appear to be identical... Upload / select error maybe?
  5. Send 'm both over here, I'll make a study of it... and try and think of the most probable ones...
  6. Bet it's somewhere in the [Render_OpenGL] section... Cool... (I just finished tuning the Taranto mission a bit, will send it to you in a minute.)
  7. You mean it doesn't? Jabo No, it does not. Currently, it only checks a limited set of files, ones that are relevant for the mods. But, I might just as well put everything in there. You then could use CheckMods to create an entire installation in an empty folder. (You'd have to be kinda patient though for it to finish) Although, wouldn't that be kinda illegal? And, it'd also mean that some of your custom skins and other custom stuff might go missing... and get replaced. I'll study it a bit more though, it may make some sense in the end...
  8. Wow. Maybe I should expand CheckMods, so it checks the entire installation, and not just the mod part? Good thing you got it solved BG!
  9. There's no need to delete any files before running CheckMods If any files got messed up, CheckMods will see them, and replace them... with fresh and good copies ones... (Well, 'good' ... just as good as they were when I put them there...) Maybe a skin-issue? (I dunno, just thinkin' out loud, it couldn't be, as the sky wouldn't be skinned now would it?)
  10. Event ID 41 is used for reporting heaps of different issues... Got any extra info on it? Maybe use the button to Copy the entire event to the clipboard, then paste it in here?
  11. You can verify by using this: CheckMods 1.34

    Little help

ATI catalyst AI control? Set it to Standard?
  13. Are you nuts FT?!? Did you use your FEET to control it? I had the original MK.I, the FFB Pro with the old 15-pin interface, and it was great and lasted me 10 years. Then I managed to get hold of the Mk.II recently, the FFB 2, and it was a great upgrade. If I had one of the many other numerous, non-FFB sticks, I think I would forget about IL-2 and play 'Lemmings online'. No, I'm not nuts...I still got an FFB Pro. But it's not as good as the Guillemot! It's FFB too you know! Why's Ms FFB not that good? Them feckin' gears! Guillemot has rubber belts that bring the forces from motors to the stick, much better, no grinding at all! You just can't beat that!
  14. Microsoft FFB2: They say it's a fine stick... I got me one, but was disappointed with it... But that's just me, because I got one of these:
  15. If you want to try the G940, better first make sure you like it. And you can return it should you not like it. It's rather specific, especially regarding FFB. Any chance you have another game controller connected, that has maybe a rumble effect in it? IL2 will only support the FFB on the first gamecontroller that has FFB capabilities...
  16. (...) I just figured why not just get used to the stick how it is right out of the box. Suits me well. Hm, yeah, but... then... why get a FFB stick?I know about the Alt-Tab-effect, but... why Alt-Tab out of the game? I prevent it... (using a 2nd computer for TS) Thanks for the info, I might try that ...
  17. Kimo, what is your opinion on the stick? It's FFB?
  18. You're right Brando, it all looks kinda sturdy, but it's all made of plastic... And oh, this all just as information, to share, I don't need help! (Well, maybe only in getting rid of this stuff...)
  19. Welcome here Shadrach !
  20. In this line: A trailing zero is missing. Not that it will matter for the FF. But maybe it does. As for the FF: I wouldn't know. Very weird. The only other thing I can think of is that the stick is not visible as being FF for the game, but then the game would probably switch off the FF, when you go into the 'Input' screen. Check the contents of the game's forcefeedback folder. Are all .ffe files present in there? Sidenote: as for 'Perfect Force' try a Guillemot FFB.
