I was treated to four days in NYC as an advanced Birthday present (4-0 in December) and obviously could not pass up a visit to the Intrepid.
Many types I've never before seen 'in the flesh'. A unique and well put together collection, would highly recommend to any afflicted Dog.

A few pictures from my local airfield, the former RAF Lashenden (A prototype ALG in 1943).
It was briefly home to 421 and 403 Squadrons of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) flying the Spitfire IX before, on 17 April 1944 the 354th Fighter Group arrived from RAF Boxted.

It is now one of the busiest GA airfields in the south of England, offering pleasure flights, skydiving, warbird experiences (AT-6) and the Tiger Club (www.tigerclub.co.uk) along with a fantastic little museum of many interesting artifacts, wrecks and relics of downed aircraft and such from the WW2 period.
Oh and lovely Cafe!

I grew up with this place on my doorstep, and still love going there to chill out and imagine what it was like nearly 70 years ago...

A trip up to Loughborough to take a ride through time on the steam trains of the Great Central Railway. Featuring Fenrir and Jabo

On what would have been Flying Legends weekend, a selection of Dogz decided to head to Sywell anyway, look at aeroplanes, artefacts, drink beer (and bacardi), eat curry and chat sh*t. Fun was had.
