Might I ask with the Spring 2024 Sale starting today (14/03/2024), if you have some DCS funds set aside / to spare you might consider please picking up the Syria map if you do not already own it?.

It would give us another common map to switch to and run different scenarios.

I approve of this post, Its by far the best and varied map currently available in DCS at this present time in my humble opinion.

TS has a problem with joystick buttons. Try JoytoKey and set a keystroke for it. Then go into the tools menu and options then test your mike with that.

I've never had a problem with teamspeak and joystick buttons.... My teamspeak has been mapped to various different joysticks for years?

  3. I voted to move DCS to Tuesday anyway.

I'm also of the belief that people who are actually flying, their vote should have more importance than those who aren't, as it doesn't affect them one way or the other.

  4. One thought that does occur...

Taking off with one Merlin is fine, two is a 'soab'.... Four, you'll probably need to offer some sort of prayer to your chosen deity.

And a sacrifice, maybe a goat.

  5. I was in front of you though....

I don't know how you broke your f16, but mine was working fine, both the f10 map and my hsd showed exactly the same thing! Very strange.

Its possible its a bug to do with the new data link implementation as yours is showing exactly what mine was showing,  which was correct for me. I wonder if cause i was number 1 and you were 2, theres a bug there....

    Salute

As you may be aware I am currently working on updating my Persian Gulf server mission.

I would like to know please if I add an automatic Mark Point in the mission can these planes (I know the Harrier can) use them for navigation / targets. I am working on using the randomiser for placing targets and it would make it easier for you guys to locate them.

If not, does anyone have any suggestions for the best mechanic for mission planning (I am aware of the F10 map issue for VR users)

    Cheers

Only the Harrier can pull 'mark points' from the F10 map, as far as I know.

Mark points are something different irl, and are a way a pilot can can quickly create a special type of waypopint/steerpoint from where one of there sensors is looking, Tpod, HTS pod, Helmet, ground radar etc.... and are usually created through the UFC and are limited in number, ie 26-30 in the F-16. They often have extra features like displaying MGRS coordinates as well as the normal lat/long.

Could you associate a bit of text to display as a message along the top, linked with the random event that displays a general location of that event, that the pilot can enter into there nav system as a waypoint to get them on station?
