1. So sorry to hear about that Jim but great news they found the answer and dealt with it. Be looking to see you back real soon. <S> Jim (dino)
2. Somtimes you find things that just seem so strange. Read this: http://www.century-of-flight.net/Aviation%20history/WW2/aces2/11.htm Apart from the flying, changing sides etc... his mother ended up being a quite famous film star and yet through all this how he died is uncertain, weird...weird.
3. If you like to learn RAF banter check this out and these guys other videos.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt5P_zvE5qY&feature=related

4. Hey guys, the Dogsford video is being uploaded in the download section as I write. Dino.

5. Hey guys, I have uploaded the Dogsford video I just finished into the vault. To make it easier it is broken down into 13 seperate performances. These can be watched as individual clips or you can download them and join them into one film using Windows Movie Maker. I found it best to watch them through a DIVX player, for those not familiar with this you can download the player from here: http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/codec-pack Just follow the instructions then watch the videos through it after downloading them. Contact me if you need any help. Ok, first the track had warping in places due to connection speeds, smoke, map and amount of users so please excuse the editing. I had to dub the videos manually so I used poetic license for who said what when for effect, sorry again. I wanted to get this out reasonably quickly so it isn’t the quality I would have liked but hey, I tried . I sneaked a clip in with a Spit flight I did to test the map and sounds some time ago...hope that doesn’t offend anyone. Thanks again to all you guys who worked so hard to put this show together, Friar obviously for hosting the event , you guys that took the trouble to attend and support and of course all our leaders and admin. Its nice to be a part of the squad and I look forward to flying (Crashing, burning) with you soon. Dino.

Teamspeak

So after all that I was on TS3 with fastdad, knowing he could not hear me I hit transmit and.......he can hear me. The way I test my conection is to go to settings and test the mic. Before this update I could see the power line move when I talked and hear my voice. Now...nothing but apparently I can transmit. Matbe the next update will put it all back. LOL.

Teamspeak

I have noticed lots of peolpe being kicked lately. To date I have spent 6 hours trying to correct this without luck. I have uninstalled both teamspeak and the drivers for my 2 headsets. I have tried every combination of re install. I get the same result every time. I can get my headsets to work 100% with any application but TS3. I can hear perfectly on TS3 but cannot get the mic to work. Before today I could get it to work on TS3 on everybody elses server except DD now they are all the same after I installed this latest update today. Maybe its my computor although as it works with everything else...I dont think so. Wits end.

Teamspeak

Have we uploaded a newer beta server version of Teamspeak 3? This programme has given me so much trouble over the last few months it makes me wonder if we as a squad should consider a dedicated voice programme. Recently every programme that I needed a mic or headphones for worked perfectly except teamspeak. Even more frustrating is that I can use teamspeak for every group except Danger dogs? This morning I logged on and saw there was an upgrade so upgraded. Now if I use the old version I get my mic and headphones working but cannot join Dangerdogs as it now uses a newer version. If I upgrade I can join the server but get no mic??? I have a usb headset and a jackplug headset combo...both give me the same messages and throughout all this I can use them both perfectly on msn, skype etc... I will continue to work on it today...anyone else got the same problem? Of course I have checked all the settings necessary and its not muted, yes its my default etc.... IT WORKS PERFECTLY WITH EVERYTHING EXCEPT DANGERDOGS SERVER, frustrating right LOL

Hey, nice to meet you. I have seen all your films but I like you in Walker Texas Ranger best LOL.

10. Me too and during the outage I can still join other TS servers so I think it might be our server? or fastdad touching the controls
11. Thanks Mate, yes from my studies it does appear carrier takeoff,s were restricted. I have read about boosted catapults being used and 5000LB loadouts off carriers, in any case even with these loadouts this is one bad aircraft LOL.
12. Thanks JEDI I think the quantity in the 25 is correct?
13. Hey Guys, It apparently has been out some time but thanks to Jedi I have discovered the Skyraider. It came in a download of a few new aircraft and other things that instal as a package. This aircraft for me is awesome. It carried more loadout than a flying Fortress and has some nice weapons. Some are new so I have described below as close as I can the weapons it carries. Of course they will not work exactly as in real life but hey....its a game....right? I love this plane so much I have built a coop mission and an MDS mission based loosely on the first attacks using this aircraft in KOREA. I am going to build a few more but if you download and instal the addon then you can fly this when I host these missions. The single engine Skyraider had a heavier maximum external store capacity (7,500 lbs.) than the four engine B-17 Flying Fortress (4,800 lbs.) The Skyraider had four M-3 20mm cannons, two in each wing. Each cannon held 180 rounds. The rate of fire was a nominal 700 rounds per minute (12 rounds per second) per cannon. The cannons could be fired in pairs (inboard or outboard pairs) or all four at once. The 20mm ammo was percussion primed similar to a conventional small calibre weapon. A firing pin struck the primer with sufficient force to discharge the round. This in contrast to more modern electric primed ammo which allowed higher rates of fire. The M-61 20mm cannon used in more modern aircraft had a rate of fire approaching 6,000 rounds per minute (100 rounds per second). Percussion primed ammo caused misfeed and jam problems both due to its reliability (old Korean was vintage ammo) and probably old equipment. It was a relatively rare occurrence to return from a mission without at least one jammed gun. AD-4 Variant. HVAR the HVAR rocket carried a 21-kg (46-lb) high-explosive warhead. Range of 5000 yd NAPALM Gasoline mixed with a thickening agent to form a jelly. TINY TIM ROCKET a 150 lb (68 kg) high explosive warhead, with a maximum range of 1,640 yards. ZUNI 5 inch 20 50 LB Rocket (Also used in close air to air combat) MK 24 FLARE Phosphorous parachute flare. Sorry Todd, the only pic I got was spoilt by the light reflection. If they come back I will try to get Fruitbat here as well and we will have more time to take pics I hope. I am not sure what that aircraft is as its privately owned but I think Mark said its one of the most expensive there. I am trying to persude him to let me get rid of that old Delfin that has grass growing around it. Fat chance HUH....Lol.

Hey guys, For those that dont know I live near to Manston airfield and my neighbour owns the flying school. As his father was in the Red Arrows the RAF use his hanger to make running repairs, refuel and overnight aircraft including the Battle of Britain flight. A Hurricane had to land unexpectedly and so he called and asked me to get out there quick to see it. I have put an album on the site with some pics.As he has some interesting aircraft I will spend a bit of time on describing their history. First the Hurricane. It arrived with a Chipmonk escort and ground staff for a radiator repair. There are several photos in the album and a pic of me ith both pilots who were great guys. Apparently it is really a 2c but painted to mock the earlier version. There are several pictures of Marks planes one is a Delfin. The Delfin was owned and flown by his father who was a Red Arrow pilot. He suffered a bad crash and never flew again so it sits there. The Delfin wreck outside landed and the owner was never seen again.??? The Erco is owned by a couple in there 70,s who fly it regularly. The Stearman is his pride and joy but as he has recently been banned on medical grounds he doesnt fly it. His school runs lessons, daytrips, etc.... Fruitbat lives close so if they schedule to come back to Manston I promised to call him ASAP... really nice to get so close.

Pictures of me and the missus at Manston etc... We are really lucky to have a neighbour who owns the flying school at Manston airdrome. The Battle of Britain flight often use it for repairs and refueling. As they use his hanger he gets to see everything up close and invites me to come. I have also put in pics of his aircraft. The Delfin wreck was left there and was never collected by a foreign pilot. The Delfin in the hanger was his fathers but he never flew it after crashing as a pilot in the Red Arrows display group so its for sale. The Erco is owned by a couple in their 70,s abd flown often.
