Firefox, it's just that 3 times in a row today I typed a reply and hit post only to have my message vanish. Isn't usually a problem but I finally got it to post hitting the quote button and typing in my reply.

Not everyone will have a machine capable of running CLOD at an acceptable level so 1946 will still be the mainstay of the dogz for quite some time. Besides, we know nothing of CLOD until we actually get it in our hands and while I'm sure it will be top notch it may have its own quirks in the beginning. The lack of theaters can't be underestimated. BOB missions are great but they can get stale after just playing them over and over. With the lack of American aircraft, Pacific theater or carrier ops there will be many things CLOD just won't be able to satisfy for quite some time if ever. Hopefully we get a PF on the new engine but we can only wait and see. I'm sure in the early days people will be playing CLOD exclusively for a few weeks but after the initial impact fades things will settle out evenly I feel.

Sometimes after typing out a reply to a post I am hitting the post button and the forum brings me back to the title screen with no trace of my reply anywhere. Its very frustrating after typing a lengthy reply to have it just vanish into thin air. Any idea what is going on with that?

Seriously, for the $$$ the GTX 560 ti is hard to beat. The MSI offering is factory OCed and everything I've read from owners agrees it runs nice and cool. Supposed to come with Mafia 2 and Just Cause 2 as well which is about 50 or 60 bucks worth of games by itself though I don't know if they would be something you'd mess with at all. I'm just looking forward to a silky smooth Cliffs of Dover and from what I hear this card will blow the doors off a Nvidia 280 when it comes to Rise of Flight so that sounds like a good indicator that Cliff of Dover run equally well if not more so by way of good code optimization. The other thing is that since the drivers for this card are so new they can only get better and faster in the future. I've seen in the area of 15 or 25% performance improvements just based on drivers so who knows what this card will top out as when it's all said and done. By the way no hard feelings just kidding with you.

Well, I did it, I just ordered an MSI Frozr GTX 560 ti, 3.2Ghz Quad and a 27 inch monitor in anticipation of CLOD. Please no dead pixels, please no dead pixels.

Bucky, Yeah I had just seen you said you could afford $3,000 but would prefer around $2500 when I posted the system. That price was for 3 480gtx cards at $400 a piece. I always build my own machines but if I was going to buy a pre build I'd get it from them. Most of the parts have a 2 or 3 year warranty. As for building a system yourself it is also that hard and you have all of us here to help. Maybe not with this machine but you should try it one day. It can be quite a rewarding experience but I understand your concerns.
