  1. We hosted a Danger Dogz Rise of Flight server for several hours tonight. Thanks to all the dogz that showed up and we might have picked up a couple of new members from those who wandered in.

I tried the demo again and boy what a difference from the last time I tried it. Might even buy it!

  2. Yea, sorry about that Kimo. I will keep an eye out on the download sites also and let "everyone" know if I find a good deal.
  3. GoGamer.com has the Neoqb version of Rise of Flight (which only includes 4 aircraft rather than the 8 that the Studio 777 version has) for 14.90. This would be a cheap way to introduce yourself to Rise of Flight. This is the full game equal to the Iron Cross edition with the exception of the above mentioned difference in the number of planes. This is a 48hour madness sale so hurry if you are interested! http://www.gogamer.com/Rise-of-Flight--The-First-Great-Air-War-for-PC-Front-Page_stcVVproductId70882947VVcatId444710VVviewprod.htm I originally posted this in the Rise of Flight section but thought it might be of interest to everyone. David
  4. Here is a link to more pictures of the Ohio Dawn Patrol. Thanks go out to Steve Percifield for posting them on his website (Steve runs the Hoosier Dawn Patrol, September 10-13 at the AMA site in Muncie Indiana and flies the Neiuport 17 1/3 scale in Polish markings in these photos). http://www.hoosierdawnpatrol.com/2010pictures/10odp/
  5. Tonar, the Sopwith Triplane is powered by a Zenoah G62 (62cc). The 1/4 scale Fokker DVII (the blue and white) is powered by a 40cc Briggs and Stratton 4-cycle gasoline engine. And finally, the 1/4 scale Sopwith Pup (the one in the air) is powered by a 33cc Homelite chainsaw engine (I converted both the Briggs and the Homelite). Kimo, thanks man! I do like to tinker. The brass PC case is on hold until this winter...too many summer projects to take care of. David
  6. Umm...sure...I will put Snacko on a trainer cord with my 1/3 scale Sopwith Triplane which took me a year and a half to design (scratch built) and build at a cost of a couple of thousand dollars. Yep...sure....by the way, are you interested in buying any bridges? It was great to have you show up Snacko, it really was hot but a fun day none the less. David
  7. Hey Snacko! Wanna fly some RoF? By the way, my other club (The War-Hawks) are flying RoF tonight in a coop mission also, put mods on and look for our server. PM me for the password, or here is a hint: John Lee Hooker's best song (IMHO) Perhaps we can set up a RoF coop night for the DangerDogz on a Saturday night, after the IL-2 missions? PropNut
  8. I play with the War-Hawks on monday nights, perhaps that would work for you also Toad? I should have mentioned the night, yes I was thinking of a DD Rise of Flight night on the weekend.
  9. Is anyone interested in flying a weekly or ad-hoc Rise of Flight coop game? Perhaps a campaign or such?
  10. Is anyone interested in setting up a Rise of Flight coop night?

  11. Speaking of choices...ok this has nothing to do with choices.....you should have stopped by for our "over the holidays campaign" with the War-Hawks. Had a great time, flew several mission out of Tobruk North Africa against Rommels tanks. Wolfhnd set it up and hosted, it was a great time to be had...well, by a few of us.
  12. Which one are you Snacko? The young one or the ugly one?
  13. Reminded me of this. LOL THanks, I needed laugh
  14. Hey Smash, what are you going to name it? Every computer gets a name...the most common of course is "Damned Thing"
  15. No, unfortunatly I have my hands full with grad school. Hopefully when the semester is over (god do I only have a couple more weeks to get those research papers finished?!!) I will have time to get back on it. I would really like to replace the projector with a 28" LCD monitor (Newegg HannsG for 309.99) and I will start to work on the trims, magneto and mixture levers also. I need to pick up another Leo Bodnar controller for the additional axis'. My 42 birthday is coming up in two weeks...do you think my wife will be willing to get me the new hardware?
  16. Hey Smash, what rig did you put together? Do you mean you have no cooling at all? Not even passive cooling (the finned heatsink)? 107f is 42c, which is a pretty good operating temp for most computers. A slightly better program to watch temps is Coretemp, it will create a logfile and watch up to 8 cores. It is always fun to tinker isnt it? Have fun with the new system. Here is one that I built a few months ago, and my simpit: http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-work-logs/468160-project-serenity-another-wooden-case.html http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-work-logs/568579-simpit-flight-sim-cockpit-case.html Mr Snako, yes I followed you from the War-Hawks to here. I am looking for a more Il-2 oriented group to fly with, I had a ball the other night thanks for hosting. PM me. Thanks for letting me reply on your thread for my first post. I am always interested in PC builds and what people do with them.
