Where are you staying Swep? Mallorca gets a bad rep because of the 18-30 destinations (eg Shaggaloof), but having had the opportunity to see more of the island recently, I found it to be rather nice. The mountains in the north are stunning and the beaches to the east are great... also lots of great food! Hope you're enjoying yourself!

In about three hours I´m laying on the operation table again. Dont know when I´m back flying with you mates, but it is the left shoulder so maby I can handle the throttle reasonably.

Just to cheer me up a bit, I bought a new amplifier (no tubes this time Jedi) which I picked up today. Sound is sweet! Tomorrow is speaker-testing-day. Four different brands will be brought to me by an old friend who is in the HiFi buisness. Poor neighbours lol.

Done! This surgeon is good! I didn´t need any morphine, he was the bad joke storyteller. When entering the theatre he was singing the theme from Star Wars lol! Not only the meniscus was broke, also had osteoarthritis, inflammation and other worn-out parts in my knee. Took him about 40 minutes to fix. Two weeks rehab will do it. Cheers!

Today, finally after months of waiting, I got a notice of operation of my knee. I´m looking forward to have all bits and pieces picked out so I will be able to walk and fly like a Dog again.

Yep, that´s Swedish health care in a nut shell. After a first check at my local doctore, they remitt you to a specialist. After two-three weeks you recive a letter that says you´re not granted to visit this specialist with in about 6 months. Then they ask you if you like another specialist in another part of the country. And so it goes on.

Six months…that is insane.
What happens if the specialist that they allow you to see is located at a great distance from where you live? You could end up with substantial expenses for transportation, lodging, meals and being off work to get to the city where the approved specialist is located.
I clearly understand your frustration with a system like that. I hope that you were not in too much discomfort while you were waiting and that the surgery goes well.

My modem broke yesterday so I upgraded my internet speed and got a new modem for free. I went from 8mb to 12-24mb, but only get 11.8 download
Those schmucks blame it on a bad copper wire from the isp.-

lol. Just spoke to the ISP and they are going to check the nearby "connection box" for any error. My internet is disconnecting every 5 minutes or so

Up and running again. Service guy found a malfunction error shit on the cable and disturbance knot on the wire. I got my 3rd modem since the old/new one was broke. Then the area were I live got a complete internet broke down. I wonder what that cable guy did? Feck.
