if there is a old working PCI (not PCI-e) video card i would try to start the rig with it. usually when the VGA dies BIOS beeps in a special manner. but sometimes died VGA blocks the BIOS and it's unable to beep. so i would focus on VGA. trying another VGA, trying this one on a different rig, and trying with PCI card in case of PCI-e port dieing.

i don't think that stripped raid is repairable. i know mirrored is (that's the point of mirroring) stripping makes drives working theoretically two times faster but if u change the raid chip set or one disk dies u r in trouble. gec

hi all. here is my problem: every time i want to connect to a server (not HL) i need to go to IL settings, network and change network connection from default to my outside connection. also i can not host a game sharing my IP. but with HL i can. i connect to internet over PPPoE, i have two ethernet cards. one is connected to the DSL router and one on my local network. router is in bridged mode. all that worked before but stopped suddenly. thx gec
