  8. Sorry its a Facebook link, but if you have it, its worth the watch. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150113735642761 Ron Wininger Read the text before watching the video - F-35 unintentional loop at takeoff on a carrier This guy clearly has brass and you know the sailors on the flight deck had a cow when they saw this unfold in front of them. Intentional? Hardly! This is unbelievable! F-35 unintentional loop at takeoff a real "check your laundry" event. A supremely well-trained US Navy pilot, ice running in his veins instead of blood, fully regains control of his $70 million, F-35 joint strike force fighter, after a problematic vertical take-off attempt... Watch as the rear vertical thruster fires to cause the problem. There's nothing about this the pilot enjoys. If he could have ejected at 100' upside down and lived, he would have. Looks like the afterburner kicks in while still vectored for vertical takeoff. Lockheed would call this a "software malfunction" and do a little more "regressive testing". This is a good demonstration of power-to-weight ratio of this aircraft! And talk about stability control... wow! If he didn't come out of the loop wings-level, it probably would have been bad news; maybe taking some of the carrier with him! Add to this flying through your own exhaust, which can lead to equipment malfunctions, as in "flame out". The F-35 is single engine aircraft with vertical takeoff/landing capability, but it has the aerodynamics of a Steinway piano at zero airspeed. This is the most unbelievable piece of flying you will ever see in your life. This guy's coolness saved a 70 million-dollar aircraft! On the other hand, he might not have had time to react to anything except just ride it. I bet you'll watch it at least 2 times! Share · March 10, 2011
  9. Looks great Snacko, Green with Envy, now
  10. Cool Snacko, I'm thinking for a pit you could mount the phones as needed, and set up multiple TB windows? Then set them with less switches, for the lack of size of the phones. is that possible, if not will look into tablets.
  11. Interesting, don't have a tablet though. Be cool if this would work on the "outdated" android phones, thier laying around cheap now days,
  12. You need to sneak your balls out of her purse, and make some of your own decisions!!!! Toad sneeks out of the room quietly, as OT gets pownded in the back of the head, from Toad throwing him under the bus ;-)
  13. Wow! That looks like a teadious job for the pilot. It sure wacks out the brush though.
  14. Just place all the necesary Primary controls listed above on buttons and axis in places that require no hand movement from the sticks, then start placing secondayr commands on the next closest set of buttons that require the least hand movement. Ans so on. Get a Labeler if need be and print up some tags and place them at each location till they become second nature. I still use labels, since I don't fly that often anymore, and the controls vary a bit from the three games I do fly.
  15. Yeh what jabo said, I've been MFFB for 8 year or more paired with x-45, CH pedals, I even tossed in a X-52 in the mix a year ago just for more buttons and axis. It's kept my lazy ass from building a proper pit and boxes. LOL
  16. Hmm I may drag out my copy of VAC and try it again, I used to us it alot years ago even paid for it.
  17. Oh man! I want one! Flying from spot to spot at the lake, or from field to feild Deer hunting. Or just flying down the river to a gravel bar for a picknic, just needs to be a dual seater is all. It certanly has the HSP to Weight already
  18. Very nice work there from 2nd post It's good to see such things going on outside our small circle of dwindling IL2 pilots.
