  1. I could'nt get Nvidia control panel to find the game. Only the Steam Exe. How are you two managing it?
  2. What operating system are you running Shadrach? Win7, Vista or XP? 32bit or 64bit?
  3. Hey, you've got an anti-aliasing option! Does it really work? Also, do you think checking or not checking the epilepsy filter option makes any difference? I'm starting to think it's just a placebo. Then again after installing the patch the bloody thing won't run at all without massive graphic corruption. ' Edit; Sid, yes you have correct patch. Thats the numbers I get too.
  4. I think JP, the above sums it up nicely. Don't bust a gut over this thing as it's nowhere near ready for release yet. One day, if they're still in business it'll be beautiful. Just not yet. By a long way. You're going to visit BadAim? Nice one. Looking forward to pictures. One day, probably when they've sorted CloD I'd like to visit you both too. Good luck my friends
  5. Ummm.....yep. I'm having exactly the same problems as Dave on my XP system. The longest I've had it running without crashing is approx. forty minutes by setting up a single 'plane over the channel and putting it on autopilot! If I set up a dogfight on QMB it just crashes as soon as I open fire. My last option is installing Win7 64bit (cheers Jabo ) if that don't work then I'm just gonna sit it out and see what becomes of it. They've shot themselves in the foot with the Steam link up.IL-2's reputation has given them access to a much bigger market than a niche product like a flight sim would normally enjoy but like Angus has pointed out, the sh1t is really gonna hit the fan if it ain't sorted soon and it's released like this in North America!!! Has Oleg really left the building?
  6. I've found a regular diet of Prunes, Curry and supermarket own brand Lager help enormously in that department. Regular? Eight o'clock every morning for me
  7. Mmmmm.....perhaps. Only problem with Swedens "socialised" medical system is this is the emergency room nurse; Would he survive her?
  8. So all this farting about with Steam and it's cracked already? meh...................................................................
  9. Hello Bongodriver, your in!!
  10. ~S~ Sweper, Mate, you are already getting enough free drugs from the Swedish Health Care System. You really shouldn’t be trying to “Self Medicate” yourself. Seriously, how is your recovery coming? That IS a picture of Swep's physio nurse!! I believe his recovery is coming on fine. Just suffering from a little "stiffness" when he visits his nurse!
  11. Postie put nothin' but bills through the letter box this morning as usual so I'm starting to feel a little left out. Checked my e-mails this afternoon and I've had one from UbiSoft apologising for the delay in the arrival of my game and giving me a free key to download the game now so I can play whilst waiting for the arrival of my dvd copy!!! Well you can't say fairer than that! Well done UbiSoft. I'm impressed. Downloading now...............................................................................................................
  12. Wow!! Nice one Squawk. Gotta hand it to these guys And their chase plane is a clipped wing Spit! How cool is that?
  13. Very nice, Jedi but where is this? Tahiti, the Hawaiian islands? Don't look much like the Kent coast or Cap Gris Nez to me.
  14. Hello Arthur, Keep an eye out for a UPS van. I dont think that they are using Royal Mail. Well I wonder about this Crash. Didn't you get the CE? It comes in a nice big box, too big for postie. I've ordered the vanilla dvd. The sort of thing which normally arrives in a jiffy-bag that postie can deliver . I'm not sure if anyone has had this delivered yet? Being a tight git, I didn't pay any extra for speedy delivery. Otherwise I'd be posting now in the Male-Menopause hysteria threads over in the Ubizoo Cliffs of Dover forum. Even if it dosen't run that well, after eight years of anticipation I'm still looking forward to installing and giving it a whirl.
  15. Dave; I'm running an almost identical system to the one you're planning to upgrade too. I'm running Win XP on an E6600 pushed to 3ghz with 4gb of ram and a 460 card with 756mb vram. Just waiting for postie to put my standard edition dvd through the door. I installed the latest nvidia beta drivers last night in anticipation, so hopefully I'll be able to give you some idea of what it runs like soon.
  16. What'll it do mister, what''llitdo? Oh yeah, what are your current system specs Jabo?
  17. Wow, nice find Trooper Most informative thing I've seen so far. I hope the Beaufighter is flyable! Did you notice the micro-stutters? Didn't RoF suffer from something like this? Wasn't it something to do with how many cores the cpu used on exec. when running win7 64bit?
  18. Since getting RoF a few months ago and finding to my pleasant surprise that my rig can handle it quite well I've been really looking forward to CoD. I've got it on pre-order and should have the boxed version in my sweaty palms this time next week. However, it's looking increasingly like Ubi have managed to snatch a cock-up from the jaws of victory, as it were. Will know for certain in a week.

    Hey Guys

Hello Jim, nice to see you back
  20. Well done m8 A decent hyperlobby server thats usually well populated is "Skies of Valor." It runs on version 4.09modded which if you have UP2.01 installed you can select. The server also runs generally the same settings that we fly on, i.e, closed cockpit, icons and externals on. Worth a try. You will get shot down a lot but you will certainly shoot someone else down too. Good luck and come fly with us anytime you want.
  21. Lol, Yeah, happy birthday Smash. Hope you have a great one Is this the big one-eight?
  22. I agree, I can't see anyone risking a newly restored, unique piece of history on a flight of that length. On the other hand there are great risks to a crated, delicate structure on a long sea voyage from storm damage, heat and humidity (think of all that glue) salt water ingress and just plain bad handling of the container in port. Gonna be interesting.
  23. This could really be fantastic! If they're going to fly the Mossie from Aus. to the US (as opposed to dismantling it and freighting it by ship) then the route which gives shortest flight time over water would be Aus-Singapore-India-Gulf-Europe-US. Although a trans-pacific flight would be shortest route I can't see a Mossie having the range. Thats an awful lot of water to cross. Going to be an epic whatever they do. Would make a fantastic documentary!
  24. There's still a flying Mossie!? Is it being ferried to the US? Thats quite a trek!
