  1. Video made yesterday and uploaded to YouTube over night. Nvidia ShadowPlay = freakin' brilliant! I've story-boarded what I want to do then flown the scenerio with the track recorder on. Unlike the ntrk system in IL2, RoF and BoS has a rewind facility. This saves soooo much time and farting about! I'm working on a CLoD movie too but for that I need a stopwatch and double the time to produce it. Simply record the scenes you want from the track in ShadowPlay. Open Windows Moviemaker and add the clips in the order reqiured then let Moviemaker join 'em up, compress it and save it in my videos library where it can be uploaded to YouTube.
  2. Very, very nice 'pit on the Stuka. Much nicer than the '109 'pit. However, what BoS giveth BoS taketh way. No force feedback for anyone this week . So its pretty much it for me until they sort that one out!
  3. Cheeky bloody whippersnapper! The 109 does NOT roll faster than a 190. Its the LaGG that does that. . p.s. Good luck on your driving test!
  4. Apparently we will be getting weather in March. Hopefully in real life too Some Sturmovik action from this weeks build. Ground attack on airfield. As you can see from the elegant, gloved hand firing the Very pistol at twelve seconds in; this mission is commanded by Joan Collins
  5. Its getting interesting.............a bit. I can't quite see why people are still getting their knickers in a twist over the limited access. There is still very little to access. I find a weekend of fiddling with it is enough. ...........Did I just write that? Anyway, it is developing slowly but surely and is looking pretty good. Expect the Stuka and either multiplayer or QMB in the next two to three weeks. Personally I'd prefer QMB with the chance to alter the time of day and some weather......any weather. Shadows and lighting coming along nicely and Stalingrad getting a battering;
  6. Hello AP, after making a copy of your control settings file, uninstall the game through the present launcher and then go to the BoS forum home page and click on 'profile' - make sure you are signed in - and then click on 'download'. You'll get a new installer to download - about three hundred or so m/b. When you've got that it will install the new launcher which will download the latest version of the game via torrent. Check out this thread; http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/4325-developer-diary-part-54/
  7. This weeks BoS update is rather more involved than most being a complete re-install of the game. Worth a read of the dev diary; http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/page-2#entry90146 Before sending my present copy of the game off to the recycle bin I made a copy of my control settings....just in case You can find yours in the game folder/Data/Input.
  8. None of the above is funny.......just absolutely true!
  9. Whats so funny? Looks like a normal evening out at Harstad to me.
  10. Have you checked out her YouTube channel? Apparently she sings and plays guitar too
  11. Blimey! All that to set the compass? Just seems an extra layer of complication added to something fairly simple.
  12. IL2 is with us now in a very alpha condition but very useable!
  13. Dangerdogz server is up Crash. Fire up the game and find it in the server list. Password is xxxxxxx. You'll be able to do a cold start take off and shoot up the LW! +++ EDIT +++ Removed server password - this is a public area
  14. For both Spit and Hurri; turn on fuel, hit start, open radiator. Ignore mixture controls. Familiarise yourself with rev counter and boost gauge. Whilst waiting for temps to come up set compass. Then put prop pitch to 100% and try giving it a bit of throttle. When the revs start to come up the plane will move and you're ready to go. Immediately after take off reduce engine revs to 2600 and reduce throttle to + 4 boost. Simples! Most important; always make sure rad is open and reduce engine revs/boost immediately after take off.
  15. I should think we'll almost certainly be flying the Spit 1a 100 octane, the Spit 2a and the Hurricane, 100 octane. I hope so as I seem to have forgotten how to fly the 109 without blowing the engine.
  16. No we won't. I expect they played a lot of Hand Ball.
  17. Not really. Team Fusion certainly have improved it a great deal but it's a hell of a map anyway, covering a big area in great detail. If we had a Spit. mk.V, a 109F and a '190 you could greatly expand the whole scenario into 1941 and 1942 and take the war into France properly. My point is that the map we have and the plane set too were originally made by a professional team of fifty plus. I think that's reflected in the scale and quality of what we have. If Team Fusion - a small group of dedicated amateurs - can live up to that to standard then it really will be extraordinary. Of course, if they do, it still begs the question "What were the fifty f#%kwits doing in Moscow all those years?" . I would have thought Malta the obvious choice, especially if they can put a cockpit in the Beaufighter and Wellington. Who knows.
  18. Nope, it is the Isle of Wight. It does represent a tremendous amount of work by Mr. Heinkill but it is not a new map. I believe Team Fusion are working on new content for TF patch 5.00 but that is many months away and as yet we have no confirmation of what or where this new map will be. Malta does seem to be the fave at the moment. I think Team Fusion have done some astonishing things with what is now a piece of abandonware but if they can pull off a new map or new planes and cockpits to the same level of detail and quality as the original sim then it will be truly remarkable.
  19. Don't bother. This ain't Malta - its the Isle of Wight.
