  5. Ar234B2 nightfighter

A skin depicting an Ar234 as a nightfighter of Erprobungskommando in March 1945. The actual aircraft had radar antennae so it's semi historical. This skin has the gunpod painted black to fit in with the overall scheme.
I couldn't see how the upper surfaces scheme fitted in at night but the piccie shows just how it did....I think
I have looked for schemes for this aircraft but most are included as default....if anyone finds one that's different please let me know.

  8. Ju88S-1

A skin for the Ju88C-6 depicting a Ju88S-1 night fighter of I/KG 66 operating from Dedelsdorf in the winter of 1944/45. S-1s were equipped with the German 'Y-Gerat' (or Wotan) beam system used to direct individual fighters to an intercept of enemy bombers. The aircraft had a fake glazed nose painted on in the hope of confusing the enemy into thinking it was a bomber not a fighter....sneaky beakies!!

  13. Sid's Liveries v1.0.0

These are the current liveries I am using:
    DHC6 Twin Otter
    H135 helicopter
    Cessna 337 (push/pull)
    Ju52
    Spitfire Mk9
    MB339
    There are 2 zipped folders.
    1. Sid's Liveries - JSGME this is the one that I use when installing via JSGME. My JSGME .exe and 'Mods' folder is in 'C:\Users\....\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe'. The path within the 'Liveries' folder is 'LocalCache\Packages\Community'.
If you have JSGME and want to put the 'Liveries' folder in via JSGME then use 'as is' or alter the folder path to suit your .exe/Mods folder location.
    2. Sid's Liveries - Community  Just the livery folders in a zip file. Copy and paste the 'Community' folder or place the individual livery folders into your 'Community' folder

  14. Navigation icons remover

Within the folder 'ICON_NAV_Del' is a mod that removes all of the navigation icons from the air but not from your maps. It removes waypoints, target markers, attack/defend boxes from around aircraft, landing markers etc.
The mod is in a JSGME ready folder that should be put in your game 'Mods' folder. It is compatible with the 'Dogz Icon' mods that we use. When activating it you will get asked if you want to continue because the 'Dogz Icon' mod (if installed) has already created the necessary folder - just say yes.

  22. Sherman navigation/observation exercise

Want to have a go at something different, bit of fun? Got a pen and paper handy?
I have attached a zip file containing a navigation and observation exercise using a Sherman. The route is below along with some questions along the way. It shouldn't take more an hour. Run it with the Tank Icons mod on or 'Icons/navigation off' as it wouldn't be as effective otherwise. Unzip the file into your data/missions folder, there should be 10 files beginning "Navigation exercise Sherman". It isn't a Multiplayer, it is a Mission.
Apart from one, all of the sections of the route are on a heading but there are some sections of the route that are distanced, some are timed and some are on a heading to something specific as well. This will give you a few references to help you on your way and confirm some waypoints. When driving the engine is at 100% throughout.
Ignore the route and waypoints on the mission map apart from the start point, I made it with the quick tank mission builder so they appear even though they aren't needed. Don't expect to shoot things, we have the Tank range for that  Use the HUD if you want but it can be done by using the compass.

  24. Tank crew positions and associated actions, views and keys

Maybe some of you will find these useful...
I have attached a jpeg piccie each for Allied and Axis that shows, by type, the actions and default key mappings for each crew position. I found it really useful to go through the positions and try the mappings available to see what occurred. I found some interesting stuff eg.
How to get the Su122 gunsight working Topic here
KV1 commander operates the rearward firing machine gun from within the turret
    Lots of visor views
The Sherman visors are height and horizontally adjustable so they fit your field of vision
Some of the views from the gunner’s visor positions in some of the tanks would in real-life be from the loader’s position. This position isn’t modelled hence the view from the opposite side of the main gun when cycling through the gunner’s visor views
Russian gunsights have extra zoom....German don't
If you have a look and find something on them that may not be right or have found something else please let me know 🙂

  25. Numbered Shermans 1-20 for use in events

A set of 20 Sherman skins for use in Dogz events. There are 4 zip files, one has the 20 skins in for placing directly into the "_M4A2" skins folder, another has the 20 skins as a JSGME ready folder that goes into your 'Mods' folder and there are 2 that have the skins split into 2 packs as some encountered issues downloading a pack of 20. Select which one, or ones, you want. The JSGME one allows you to remove the skins easily after the event.
Produced by Sid using the game M4A2 template.
