Come Baaaaaaack G-Man!

I got a chance to fly with Greenstreaks on Zekes v Wildcats last night and I can report that he has the prerequisite disturbing sense of humor and while I can't confirm his flying skill ( I don't think we ever actually saw each other) I do believe he was mostly getting shot down, so we don't have to worry about him embarassing us with any untoward displays of skill.

OOO, OOO, OOO I love a good pissing contest , but alas I have already lost to Pete (and Natale ). The coolest thing I've driven was probably my '69 SS396 Chevelle (looked like shit- went like hell). I've fired quite a few guns, I had a Glock 19 I put over 10,000 rounds through (I was good with that thing!) I have a couple of Kimber '45s (The CDP I used to get a distinguished graduate rating in the ASAA basic course) I also have a Sig-Sauer 9mm and a Kel-tec 9 as well ( My wife has a Ruger .357) I've owned a couple of AR15s , had a Mini 14, still have a brace of 12 gauge shotguns (Nothing lets an intruder know how you feel like the sound of a 12 gauge slide) and I've had the chance to shoot all sorts of friend's guns (I think the Mac 10 was the most fun).

Oh, yeah, that don't work to well .

All commands should carry through from one mode to the next unless you change them (the carried through setting will show a small arrow [kind of like windows 'shortcut' arrow]), so you can change just one or two settings and easily keep the rest the same, for instance I have guns mapped to the first stage on my trigger and cannons on the second using in-game settings in "mode one", in "mode two" I mapped the letter that I set for "Guns+Cannons" [Q, I think] to the first stage so I can fire all my guns at once on the P-47 without having to go to the second stage, but everything else stays the same. (did any of that make sense?)

I have intermittent problems with mine too. Saitek can't write a decent driver to save thier lives. When you have problems check that the cable between the sticks is firmly seated on both ends then unplug the USB cable, give it a half minute and plug it back in then restart the profile software if neccessary. One thing that I've always found with Saitek is that I have to unplug them when I restart or shut down, then plug back in after the 'puter is fully up and running, otherwise they give me nothing but trouble.

The utilitiy works with the config.ini, just like using the ingame panel or manual editing, but as with manual editing you have to shut the game down. If your ingame panel works for you (it doesn't for me and most with rudder pedals), it will still work just fine, if you use it the changes will show up on the utility next time you open that.

Get IL2 joy control from airwarfare, its only a small utility and takes up little space and uses no resources wile your flying since you only run it while your actually changing the settings and it's soooooo easy to use. Trust me, you'll love it. My settings (for now) with x52 and pro pedals are; Prop pitch-100's accross Elevator trim (I use the big dial on top)- 20 29 38 47 56 64 73 82 91 100 (this gives me finer control for cruising,etc) Rudder-75 78 81 83 86 89 92 94 97 100 elevator-75 78 81 83 86 89 92 94 97 100 aileron- 100's accross Brakes- 100's Throttle- 100's

I can relate to needing a break every once in a while, but please don't do anything you'll regret later. If you do indeed have the IL2 gene you may be in for a nasty case of colitis if you don't get your "medication".

From what I'm seeing so far, I think SOW will be as good or very nearly as good as that. We can only hope. Edit: I just watched the second one, maybe the above is premature!

Yeah, me too. I had a meeting in a short while and really needed to calm down, as I was getting VERY irritated with me 'puter. So I just shut 'er down and walked away after the last crash. Sorry guys.
