  1. I can vouch for this guy. I beg that none of you hold his relationship to TOAD against him, he really is a fine fellow. We got a chance to fly the other night and had a blast.
  2. No offence BA, you're a nice bloke, but wtf are you talking about? Never mind that Communism and socialism are two very separate political philosophies, just where in the wide world is this supposed agenda being peddled? One answer might be, in the heads of a group of press and pundits whose main intention is to incite fear in their gullible audience. We saw that when certain "experts" reported that Britain's National Health Service used "death lists" to highlight patients who (reportedly) weren't worth saving; and again when it was stated that "Professor Stephen Hawking would be dead if he had needed to rely on the NHS". Embarrassingly, it was pointed out that the good prof IS, and always has been, an NHS patient. The truth falls by the wayside in the face of good politicking however, and came too late to prevent the fear from taking hold. Try to hold onto the idea that a social health system does not equate to socialism or Communism just because the word social is being used. Excuse my sarcasm. B No offense to you Either Brando but WTF are you talking about? I never mentioned anything about health care, and it's not relevant to anything I said. I'm quite familiar with the differences between Socialism and Communism, but since I have not read Marx, I'll not argue them. I personally see the difference as pure semantics, but I can see how you might see things otherwise. Please stop assuming I'm stupid, Brando and come with a relevant argument and we might have something to talk about. Excuse the sarcasm .
  3. ...and why are you so sure there is a difference?
  4. I do believe that your heart is in the right place, and I agree with you for the most part, but I don't agree that the politics is irrelevant. The current Communist/Socialist agenda that is being propagated worldwide is not for the American people and I don't see it being of any use to Canadians and Brits either. Leaving control of ............ You know, I'm not going to say any more here, I doubt that my opinion is wanted any way. I will only say that I love my country and I see my way of life passing away............ ........and I only hope that I do before it does..............
  5. Sweet museum! Your GF is nearly as hot as that 109 too!
  6. LOL. I even think about it during sex......... well no not really, but I do think about IL2 most other times.........
  7. You'll fit in here just fine Laccato, lactsocci, oh whatever the hell your name is, you'll fit right in.
  8. I'll stand my ground, and beg to differ. (Though I won't argue the point, as I understand that we will always see things differently in these matters)
  9. I could use Admin rights for Wed night also. Thanks Mate.
  10. January 2013 One sunny day in January, 2013 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue , where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Obama." The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here." The old man said, "Okay", and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Obama." The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here." The man thanked him and, again, just walked away. The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Obama." The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Obama. I've told you already that Mr. Obama is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?" The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it." The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow, Sir."
  11. I missed this. Yeah, I'm sure I would, moving there has been the subject of discussion on more than one night when I'm hangin' with my posse. My buddy's business partner has dual citizenship, he comes up to Connecticut to work for the summer (they're pool guys), and spends the winter in Texas.
  12. I had to read the whole damn thread, I haven't got anything done all morning! LOL. I have to agree, very impressive. I can't wait to see her all trimmed out.
  13. Beautiful country there, I'm glad you got a chance to get out and enjoy it!
  14. I thought it was standard on Monday night. Either way I'm in!

  15. We probably don't have the level of discipline that your used to though, but we'll try to remember to yell at you occasionally. Welcome Pappy.
  16. I've been here since '07 too! I remember asking BG about joining and he said "well you've been flying with us for six months, I just assumed you were already a member" , so don't ask me for the date when I joined, it's rather nebulous, much like the Danger Dogz. I'll let you guys in on a secret, when I reformat (or "Quazi") and windows asks for my "organization" I put in Danger Dogz. I know, it's a little creepy, but I love you guys that much (even if I don't like you that much some times).
  17. Nice pics, thanks for posting. She's a pretty bird, ain't she? I found the cockpit to be quite cramped on the one at the New England Air Museum, but it is a prototype, so the might have made changes. I thought the pedal position was extremely awkward, especially by comparison to the P47, which was like sitting in a Buick.
  18. LOLs. Methinks that 'ole boy had a good life fer a fish. I'm guessing that sucker will be feeding the whole town.
  19. Just experiment with jsgme and see how the various things work. No, wait, your building a house, you don't have time for that crap. First thing to note is that if you hover over the various options you'll get a little tool tip kind of window that tells you a lot about each thing. With that you can come up with questions for next time you run into one of us that's into all this and has screwed around with it. Most of it is eye candy anyway, but some things can give you nice performance helps (and some will give you big hits). A good place to look is Fruitbat's guide in the Mods section, as well (he's a lot more clever than he looks).
  20. Fruitbat mentioned a program about some guys trying to recover a B29 from greenland earlier today, so as I'm looking through the programs for tonight I see that it's running here too. I'm not sure that I'm glad I watched it though. After watching the struggles of a small crew ferrying in 4 engines, props and a bulldozer, resurfacing all of the control surfaces installing all the props and engines and building a runway only to run out of time and see not only the project stall but the chief engineer give his life for it, I got to see them come back the next year and get her up and running only to burst into flames on the takeoff run and burn to the ground before the eyes of the entire crew. It was bloody hard to watch, and I'd not missed a moment of it. I'm going off by myself to weep for a bit, catch you guys later.
  21. Just to add a different way of doing the same thing. I dispensed with the TIR zoom altogether, as it's never worked right in IL2. When I'm using San's I assign the zoom function within San's it's self to the slider on my x-52, and zoom is shut off altogether in TIR. This works perfectly smoothly for me (in win7 no less). The only problem I still have is the connection dropping out sometimes, which can usually be fixed by mashing the start key a few times. Good flying!
  22. Hooray I do hope we get to meet in person some day soon, mate.
