  1. Welcome to the dark side, Collin. We have cookies. .....and they are yummy.
  2. Lovely pics Snacks. You definitely have a good eye for composition, and a beautiful property.
  3. Naw, nothing so mundane as a t-bone my dear nick. She slid off the road through a chain link fence and ended up in our local airport. The other side of the car is even worse. The good news is we literally paid half what the car was worth when we bought it, so we could conceivably make a profit after using the car for c four years. The hard part will be finding another deal like that if the car is totaled. Shit happens
  4. Fortunately She's OK. The Subaru however is a bit worse for the wear. Any landing you walk away from.........

    Thanks !

I love you too you old fruit! Merry Christmas and all that!
  6. Merry Christmas to all my friendz all around the world!
  7. The "making of" video. This is way cool.
  8. I know Jabo, and it will be awful, at least until I get in contact with you guys, then the pack mentality will kick in and I'll feel well armed. (after all there aught to be several dozen arms all told ) At any rate, should I need protection during my stay in England, I'm sure I'll be able to find a policeman. I will then take his gun away from him, apologize profusely and take care of business.
  9. You know what? I'm going to be there. I might need to knock off a liquor store, but hell it's worth 10 to 20 being Bubba's girlfriend for three drunken nights with me mates. Well maybe not, but I'm not bright enough to think that far ahead. I'll get in touch with you about the logistics, Jabo. I doubt that my lovely wife will be coming as I'd need to knock her out to get her on a plane, and well the authorities frown on that sort of stuff around here.
  10. Lots of strays coming back to the fold.......Good stuff!
  11. Political correctness is code for institutional stupidity.
  12. That's awesome. Just goes to show you; a little love goes a long way.
  13. Welcome back mate. Mind the new sheep, the one with brown spot over her eye, she's got a bit of a nasty temper if she's not "in the mood"
  14. I know it's kind of late but isn't it possible to have externals on the ground but not in the air? I know I've been on dogfight servers that were set up like that. I don't mind either way, but I thought that might clear up any sticking points. I doubt that I can make it this Sunday. I have to rip up my mother's kitchen floor (down to the joists), repair all of her plumbing and put every thing back to like new this weekend. I'm thinking I might need all of it. (the weekend that is.......)
  15. Oh, My. I think perhaps this is further incentive to make Duxford this year.........
  16. I think you can set padlock on and externals only on the ground. that way we get to avoid accidents as much as possible too.
  17. Good on me. Oh, BTW count me in! I'll be there if I have to kill someone to do it. (well, as long as the wife says it's OK)
  18. LOL! I raise me glass to ya!
  19. I can almost smell the garlic wafting accross the channel.
  20. Your sig Streak led me to do some searching and I came up with an immense treasure trove of wisdom from this prophet of doom named H.L. Mencken. My favorite is: When a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. I love it. This is why the founding fathers feared democracy as much as the crown, and did as well a job as they could to keep this country from becoming such. Oh well, such is the nature of the inevitable.......
  21. Excellent. Should my compound become untenable, you might expect a visit.
