  1. Nope, no crazy lib. I did play the backwards drunken hillbilly though, so that offered some comic relief.
  2. Mayhem, I think the above post could be misconstrued.......You might want to add a smiley or something. Just sayin'.
  3. Yeah, great deal. I like the '14, it's very robust and well built. My only complaints are the AK style "tip in" magazines (not great for fast reloads) and the excessive noise compared to say an AR, but that's really nitpicking. Ruger knows how to build a quality product at a great price!
  4. Best practice is to top off the tube every chance you get........ Of course you guys know that.
  5. One of my co-students at the Shotgun course I took this summer had a 20 year old defender, wooden furniture and all. I didn't shoot it but handled it a bit, and what a joy after handling my 590 all day, it was so light! I suspect though that he would rather have had my 590 when the time came for firing slugs. I am so glad that I got my AR before the shit hit the fan! My buddy just spent $1700 on a rifle that would have cost $800 a few months ago.

You have not lived until you've been sideways at 100 mph sliding towards a concrete bridge abutment! I think the fastest I've ever been is about 140 in a Corvette with a Pontiac Lemans right next to us (I wasn't driving either). I was confident in the Corvette's capability at 140, but not so much in the Lemans. Just because a car has the power to get to a given speed, it doesn't mean the car is safe to drive at that speed. I've never been over 120 mph while driving myself. I suppose only because I've never had a car that could both reach more than speed and be capable of being controlled at that speed. My Chevelle had plenty of power, but it's gearing would only allow for 120 without over revving, and to be honest I was happy with that in a 3800lb sedan. It got there plenty fast though!] Back on subject: I'd be more than happy to drive a Subaru at 150mph. My wife's Forrester was the most stable car I've ever driven.

Oh, that's loverly! "Tuners" around here typically get over 500HP out of these cars without breaking a sweat or sacrificing much reliability. Enjoy your hotrod, laddie! P.S. Yeah Arthur. I saw that little "bobble" too, only someone that has been sideways at over 100 miles an hour can appreciate that one! (just watching the vid makes me heart go pitter patter!)
  8. PFFFFFT! I like that girl! I promise to remain very, very calm.
  9. With "Obamacare" we will be in the same boat in a few years.........
  10. This does not surprise me at all. It's always the poorest people that are the most generous.
  11. LOL! Monarchy is alive and well in the United States, and I'm more than happy to share my cynics soapbox.
  12. My goodness, Arthur! We must really have a talk. I'm the squadron cynic, and I resent your trespassing on my territory. I would hate to report you to the union Stewart, but I will do what I must.
  13. Happy birthday, mate! I'd have never guessed you were 40 from your photos, you good looking bastard, you. I hate you just a little more this day.
  14. Merlins and Allisons and Pratts, oh my! I need a cold shower now.............
  15. You guys are such cynics, I saw the story on the internets, and they cant lie on the internets.......
  16. I'm seriously lamenting not stocking up. I only have .c200 .223 rounds for my Stag. I could be expelled from several states for that level of unpreparedness. It's pretty much impossible to get .223 ammo around here these days.
  17. It's called capitralism, mate. It ain't perfect, but it works most of the time. I think what is much worse is the way the media and politicians jumped on this tragedy to further their own agenda. Now that people are pushing back, they are coming up with bullshit like how now Obama shoots all the time. He's supposed to be our friend now. pffffft. I do however agree that some of the Photoshops were in poor taste, I suspect the whole idea is a play on the fact that the original was probably just as fake as the picture of Obama in the situation room when Bin Laden was killed. Edit: I've done some reading and it appears that one of Obama's advisors basically challenged people to Photoshop the photo, and they did in spades. Some in bad taste, some pretty funny.

You do know how I love chicks with guns, and oh my is that a big gun!
  21. The Mig3 reminds me of a '20's sporting car with that long hood hinting at the enormous ........engine underneath.
