    Hope you had a good day. We put a large George cross flag up on our 5 story drill tower for the day :) (The station is opposite a hoofing great mosque :thumbsu: he he )

    BTW: one of the chaps was saying that St Goerge was a Roman soldier with Christian parents...can anyone expand ?

  5. How much time would a normal pilot spend on this madness?

    An ideal week would be to fly Tuesday, Thursday, DDz and Saturday UBI for 2 to 3 hours each.

    Having a wife, two sons and one "hire a friend" can and does bugger that up frequently ! LOL

    On top of that add a two days, two nights work shift system and it gets complicated.

    On top of that, add six BFS courses to teach at 7 x 3 hours each in a year.

    On top of THAT add many hours producing instructional graphics for JO's Vyiew classroom facility.

    Also add attending every flying course that JO have come up with over the last 4 years, (just doing ABS3 now)........ so maybe, on average enough hours :icon_shaking2::blink:B)

    I have had a "tearing" problem lately and have done a little reading up on the causes including monitor issues.

    You may already know this but the 60Hz is the rate at which the monitor can show a frame IE 60fps. Most graphics cards put out 120fps so that is why the Vsync

    As far as things being a copy or rip off of previous ideas; It is a known fact that every possible combination of musical notes has already been used, thus in every new tune there are recognisable combinations which remind you of part of another tune.

    Hence there are millions of cover versions which often out sell the originals because the tune is great but the original band are all dead/uncool ! LOL

    Likewise just about every story line has also been used, all you can vary is perhaps the time , the place, the characters in detail. That is why there are so many "remakes" right.

    The same goes for most artwork, something like it has been done before.

    My point is that to be different you have to get more spectacular and/or technological...................Avatar :)

    We are just getting harder to please. :soapbox:

    Well it's 11.30pm here and I just got back from seeing it in 3D as a birthday treat.

    I was blown away by the effects, the imagination and digital artwork was truly awesome . :o I will definitely be going to see it again because there was too much to take in fully. The story is a statement for sure with the expected romance angle to help it appeal to a wider audience. Plenty of SPECTACULAR action , a likable hero and a real dirt bag villain. Sounds like the usual Hollywood package I know but WOW was it entertaining. IMHO I don't think you could ask for much more from this type of movie.

    I also found myself strangely attracted to the 9ft blue heroine
