    Dead Rig

Bloody hell Nick, did not realise a GPU was capable of blowing up a mobo unless you used it as a hammer ? As I said the 970 worked faultlessly in my PC and it was packed in it’s protective foam lined box for postage so I don’t understand ?

Sorry to hear that Nick, the 970 ran fine when installed in my PC so I am really hoping it has nothing to do with the problem mate ?
  4. Vun panzer Kommandant is a must, all vill follow ze orders or face ze conseqvences !
  5. Well that was fun ! Really enjoyed the combined ops side of things and of course multi crewing with Lord Sidly Mountshaft. Thanks to the fly boys for suppressing those who would do us harm 😚

Like two old book ends then ? 😘
  7. I am up for Sunday Joint tanks and planes Col. Tuesday PWCG also. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
  8. You all look so happy, that’s what good company does for ya !
  9. Great idea Col, although I like the idea of a one off PWCG Iconic mission generator event as a filler, I think there is room for running this as well. Numbers for “normal” coop nights have been well down so if this event is promoted it should be a success 👍🏻
  10. Sounds excellent Col, definitely worthy of it’s own thread.

So much natural beauty in one shot !
  12. Hey Reggie, I’m guessing it was an “Every Which Way But Loose” kind of dream with Fen as Filo Beddoe and me as Clyde?
  13. I remember funding the construction of a FW189 fifty years ago…
  14. Just looked at the map and zooming in to the street names it looks like Parts has put his marker right next to “Dufferin Place” 🤣😂 If that was not deliberate, it should have been !
  15. Excellent accounts chaps, entertaining reading and a bit scary. Glad we are all on the same side because the thought of running into an enemy with that kind of spunk renders me all wibbly at the knees !
  16. First of all congrats to 402nd for a magnificent show against the flying hun. That was difficult for me….just a moment….OK….. Ahem… 😉 Also well done the Tiffies by the looks of things ! 485th were tasked with an armed reconnaissance along the front lines South East of Rotterdam, hence 2x1000Ib eggs were carried. Only had a three ship flight due to some bad guacamole being served in the canteen yesterday, (nasty business). We heard the 402nd say they were entangled in a huge furry ball just North of Rotterdam when we were still some 30-40km south as we had been slightly delayed by a single FW190 which decided to annoy Tom, (really bad idea!). On arrival north of Rotterdam another call confirmed that we were no longer needed to help untangle the 402nd from the furry ball so we continued on with our assignment. A high level recon run East confirmed where the lines were and more importantly where our potential targets were. Heading back west at angels 4-5 we set about any and all manor of ground target that we could find. With just the three of us it was easy to keep a keen eye on each other and call out any AAA threat in good time. Superb team work and great accuracy with both bomb and bullet, yielded an impressive total of 28 pieces of bosh machinery being rendered B.E.R (beyond economical repair). Returned home without a single hole in our pride or in our aircraft. Could not have asked for more, BLOODY GOOD SHOW !

One of the nicest things you have ever said to me in 30 years of friendship Parts ! 😉
  18. This week the 485th made the most of that actor chap who rode the nuclear bomb in “Dr Strangelove”. Assigned to destroy the river bridge in Givet, our three and two ship flights arrived in good time, all set to send some German types swimming, only to find that the bridge was already Kaput. After destroying all visible targets in the immediate area a brief discussion was had to determine what to do with our unused underbelly dangly bits. A sweep along enemy lines found a few targets dotted here and there, so we dispersed them further. Some top notch bombing accuracy was displayed by uncle Bob rendering the tactic of hiding in the woods a bloody waste of time, good show ! We proceeded all the way to Bastogne because Tom “had some bullets left” but unfortunately no joy. All returned home without a problem and in fine spirits, delighted to taunt the 402nd about their “no show” mission. An excellent day 🖕🏻
  19. Highly inaccurate that pole mate, every decade has its beginning and end in two categories. Should be 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 etc. Two reasons: it might make a huge difference to the 50-59 and 60-69 percentages and I like it when “69” is stated….. it makes me giggle like a school boy. Sorry, just practicing being an old git who likes to complain about sod all just for the sake of it 😂🤣 and I wanted to get in there before Arjen does 🤔😘
