  1. I have just installed this and is looking good. as was posted will take a bit of setting up to bind the right keys etc. Its work great on the fw190 but on the spit vb I see the ground where the trailing edge should be. is there a fix for this or is that one of drawbacks?

  6. you will find them in the users folder. there will be a folder with your pilots surname i.e mine is called new dd_friar sst (done when i set up my x52) so the folder is called sst you will also have to copy all.ini and default.ini
  7. Ok, I have it installed now but with the no cd .exe it freezes at 95% Any offers of a fix?....
  8. I wanted to re-install 1946 to start the migration to 4.09m again so I deleted the contets of the folder. Now when I try in install from the cd again the install option is not available.grrrrrrrr Does anyone know how to sort this (uninstall fails to work now as well....)
  9. Would one of the guru's please post the definitive step by step instructions to get me/others up to speed... Yesterday I..... 1. Created a new folder c:\program files\ubisoft\4.9m (my current game lives in c:\program files\ubisoft\il2 sturmovii 1946 2. Installed from the 1946 dvd into c:\program files\ubisoft\4.9m 3. Downloaded and installed patch 408m.46 in the same folder 4. Downloaded and installed patch 409m in the same folder 5. Tried running was was still being asked to insert disc.. game runs up in about 15 seconds and i dont get the new splash screen
  10. it may be carl, that you have the same problem as me, I suspect you are in the software as "Enforcer" and not "Enforcer57" I was still registered as "frior-one" but, as always it got sorted by our guru and all was fine. or perhaps its Hell Hounds thing and not Dangerdogz.... but stand easy......it will be sorted I'm sure....

  12. oK, I THINK i've got it....when loading it displays 4.09m in the bottom left hand corner. The load screen is the same (corsair)...it loads in about 15 seconds!, I thought i saw that there are extra hotas controls in the input screen, but i dont get them....

  14. I dont have any clean installs, so I take it I need to install il2 1946 from disc and then this patch goes on top of that? or was there another patch for 46'?

  18. ok, thanks for the input sid. I now have it working. its now just a case of trial and error for getting the scenario right. it was all to do with where i placed the aaa units. I now have to work on a defence for when (and if) the blues capture the airfield.
  19. Sid, you are correct in your interepation of what i am aiming for # thats what i thought, but it doesnt, so i must be doing something wrong!
  20. Guys, your help and pointers please. I am working on a little dogfight scenario for a special event. I require red and blue homebases to be at the same airfield. This I have worked out. My problem is that I dont want blue to be able to spawn at the base until they have taken out all the red aaa. If they do try to spawn there I want them shot up striaght away. I have been trying various units with out much luck. Does anyone have any pointers. At the moment the 2 circles that indicate the base area overlap, could this be an issue? Cheers Friar
