  1. @DD_Fenrir Hi , I have been practicing in the mossie tonight. I am not sure that the bomb fuses are working. Mine all seem to be going off when they hit, not 11 seconds after dropping? (if I am too low I am picking up damage) Yes I have got the fuse set....
  2. You can only have 1 person at a time access the server. It could get messy with both Delta and Fen needing to access the server
  3. Hey Bucky, Welcome back to the pound, as the saying goes, "Once a Dog, always a Dog, no matter how far or for how long you stray". You come back to us in interesting times. It will be great to have you back flying with us but I must point out that GBS seems to be in a bit of dip at the moment. There is not much going on with the game and flying numbers are down, we are not the full on group we once were as far as IL2 goes. DCS is growing in popularity within the Dogz now and quite a few of us have migrated over to it. IL2 is still being flown, but as I say, just not in the numbers it once was.
  4. @Zukker, It was great to play in your time zone last night, thanks for having me. Over a cup of tea this morning I happened to come across this thread and thinking about what you said ref your mission that does not work due to triggers https://forum.dcs.world/topic/318313-important-uninstall-your-unofficial-mods/ In it VIACOM is mentioned for causing some triggers not to work for some reason? Do you use that?
  5. UPDATE 10TH FEBRUARY 2024 V2.7 Changed F16 planes to facilitate "Link16" capability. There are now 2 groups of 4 aircraft "Viper-1" and "Viper-2". This means that the "Link16" can now be used to lock your wing-man or flight lead and be able to track them in the helmet / HUD also to see which targets they are locking etc. Thanks to @fruitbat for technical support and for assistance in testing. Link system also now configured correctly for land based F18's to share information. F18's can also donate to F16's and vice versa. Added notification for when AI planes are starting to be generated on the Western and Eastern zones. Hidden Attack Town reinforcements so that they can not be attacked until the correct time. Hidden Attack Town Leader so that the escaping vehicle can not be attacked until the correct time. Added 4 x Mosquito, 4 x Spitfire, 3 x P51, 3 x P47 to the airfield for sight-seeing and photo opportunities with the modern fighters. You can of course go ground-target hunting but will be up against modern defenses. And also....1 x I16 at the airfield for FT
  6. Morning @BluBear I did a bit of searching this morning over breakfast ref your issue and found this after seeing lots of people having the same issue in v3 or earlier. The guy from Meta Forum (my link in this topic) has found solution for this two weeks ago after almost 3 years of investigation. Open Command Prompt (cmd.exe) and paste this: reg add “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Oculus\RemoteHeadset” /v “numSlices” /t REG_DWORD /d “1” /f Of course you have to use straight quotation marks (this forum changes them to typographer’s quotes). It’s necessary to restart Oculus service (or better restart your OS if you don’t know how to do it). You can experiment with different numbers (“4”, “3”, “2”, “1”), however only “1” (one slice) works for me with cabled connection. Quest renders image using 5 slices and when 1 of this slice (usually 5th one) is not encoded correctly you get this white stripe. The command above changes image rendering to 1 slice. This adds some latency but I haven’t noticed any performance drop so far. If you want to remove this fix use this command: reg delete “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Oculus\RemoteHeadset” /v “numSlices” I got the above from here in case you want to have a read through https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/quest-2-white-artifact/579744/10

Yes, I was aware but thanks for the heads-up any way.
  8. UPDATE 5TH FEBRUARY 2024 V2.4 New feature of being able to pick-up the troops once they have completed town assault and search to bring them home. Added "Search in Zone then attack" options against AI to try and keep them from straying over in to areas we do not want them (untested at the moment).
  9. Ok, so we now know Crash would like to fly DCS on a Tuesday, Delta already flies DCS with us so assume he would be ok with a Tuesday for DCS, Mossie has said he does not mind, of the regular fliers who does that leave to speak up?
  10. Hey @Mosquito, thanks for stepping up. Lets arrange a session so I can give you the same tools I have given Delta, that way you can do it between you. Let me know which evenings would be good for you and matching times etc. How are you getting on with the Mission Generator?
  11. Mission Briefing V1.00 Now available Operation Kuwait Freedom.pdf
  12. Mondays DCS tends to be just myself, Fruitbat and Fen more often then not. Thursdays is the most popular night.
  13. I was hoping that we could move DCS to Tuesday from Monday to perhaps help players like you Crash who can not do any other nights, but the yin to your yang is there may be others that can not do other nights for GBS.
  14. Ah that is a shame, but I really hope you have a fantastic couple of events.
  15. What are you "miffed" at Crash, the thought of losing a GBS night for DCS? I thought we were looking at getting better attendance for either sim from the DD's If we are looking at potentially more people wanting to play DCS then should we not think about accommodating them?
  16. This may sound hard and really do not want to upset anyone but some of the votes to keep the GBS nights as it is were from people who are not flying very often, if at all. That is not to say one DangerDogz vote carries more weight than another but with such an important decision to make I feel it should be taken into consideration. It is no secret from me that I think we should move DCS to Tuesday and Thursday and keep GBS for Sundays.
  17. @FoolTrottel - Are you being FT? or do you mean Sinai?
  18. Ok, so I have mentioned this a few times, insanity or not, that I wanted to join in playing DCS with our cousins over the water in their back yard and seeing how they do things I have the opportunity on the night of Saturday 10th February (into Sunday morning for me) to do this (means I can have a lay in afterwards) a) I am putting @wingflyr, @Zukker on alert - is this good for you guys? and b) Is there anyone else that wants to join me? I believe @Zukker does the hosting? He is 8 hours behind the UK for his time zone so if you guys play at Sat 20:00 your time that will be 04:00 for me..yikes! ? Does that work for you? I also believe you prefer Discord which I have and do have a link to Zukkers channel - is that correct also?
  19. Bump - Is the first post still correct? Has anyone added to their collection and either not told me or I have missed updating the table? Now I am getting used to building missions I would like to know what options I have as a platform / scenario. I think it adds to the DCS nights (especially Thursdays) if we could make it a night with "objective" type mission(s). Not bothered by the spread of plane sets, I can account for that and build missions to suit all types. At the moment I can only use Persian Gulf (other than Caucuses or Marianas of course). Would be nice to have another option.
  20. I view it as my hobby. If I played golf there would be club membership fees, the latest in golf stick design, jumpers, shoes etc. DCS gives me many, many hours of fun and I do circle round the VR options as I would REALLY like to see what it looks like, but I am not spending any more money....
  21. ...and then wait just a bit longer as the 6090 is just around the corner.. I feel your pain on this BB. Its a lot of money to spend and we all would not want to make the wrong choice. It almost feels like the more you research into it the muddier the waters get. It is very difficult I think, in most cases, to find "this is definitely the way to go", there are always caveats which you have to weigh up.
