  1. version 5 is available from here http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06-support/support-download-software-and-manuals.html It works for TIR 4 and I
  2. Looking good - I fancy a 1/32 ME109 F4 but Iv got a few to finish first. Do you find that the detailing work like the cockpit is easier on the larger scale? My eyes are getting old for the 1/48th

  4. I posted my settings here afrte a few folk asked for them http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Knowledge_Base&op=show&kid=555 I am rock steady on black death 60fps with vsync on
  5. @sged the weathering was done with humbrol silver and a small piece of sponge for larger areas and a needle for the panel/hatch scratches @fooltrottel The tyres are grey as I was going to do dark washes on them but then couldnt be bothered , I liked them light so left them alone- might darken them later if my mood changes mate
  6. zero finished has a problem with the varnish so not entirely happy with finish, was very smooth until I put on a coat of silk and when it dried it was streaky and has not dried to a smooth finish so had to do some repairs which wernt as good as the origonal paint job - I suppose its only really noticable if you look for it but a bit annoying after all the work
  7. this one is my next purchase http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-032-DE the overclockers forums have good reviews of all monitors mate http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=85
  8. As Sulky said the 9800 is the nvidea upgrade to the 8800 that I run just now. It isnt the fastest available but good enough for what you want just now. e.g. I have a dual core Intel processor and 512mb nvidea 8800GT and 2mb memory and I get rock steady 60 fps with nsync on across anything the game can throw at me e.g. black death or kamikazi track, I can also run ARMA 2 so far with little slowdown
  9. Hi sged - the plane was sprayed allover the light grey first, then the demarcation line was done with tamiya masking tape and the top painted - I used tamiya acryllics throughout. I plan to only lightly weather it . I will do a wash to highlight the panels then very light chipping. I will do faint powder lines for the exhaust and guns and then put a final coat of varnish 50% klear to 50 % satin to dull it down a bit If you have good tips for effective chipping then please post them here mate , mine always look a bit overdone and false I like how this guy finished his http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2601013236/m/7221064657?r=1561005677#1561005677 so will probably try to be very similar
  10. friar got a nice machine http://www.dangerdogz.com/forums/index.php/topic,7284.msg61196.html#msg61196 have a read through his thread mate as it has good info - as always you get what you pay for but if its just for il2 then you dont have to go full bore, if its upgrade potential then check out what some of the latest fps gamer sites recommend e.g. for arma 2 Optimal PC System Requirements

  13. Shift_E is a good guy and in addition to the mission tuner developed a Voice Activated Control program which is excellent. You can operate ant key press by voice command only e.g. drop flaps , cockpit open etc. It is paticularly immersive for talking to the AI instead of having to use the menus See he has a nice shiney and professional looking site here

  19. your connection is solid as BG said, better than mine and I have no problem loading maps- repeat this at peak time ( 1900 GMT to 2300 GMT )and see if there is a difference You are running 4gb of memory on XP which is a bit too much - take it down to 2gb and see what happens. You mentioned that you bought more memory recently are you sure it was compatable? Check your motherboard manual for installation and setup of memory. I have a P5n-E and there is a section on memory configuration

  21. your trace shows that there is nothing wrong with your connection to local sites. you have good low pings, mine starts at 40 on the first hop I dont think you have to reboot your router as you have decent pings locally but it can sometimes enable you to get different hops across the atlantic so might help. you can reboot by switching physically on or off or by software as described here http://www.dangerdogz.com/forums/index.php/topic,7428.msg61988.html#msg61988 I dont know where the dangerdogz site is - may be USA, rog would confirm, please do traces to bgs game server and to warclouds at 67.106.81.125:21000 ( it is in chicago) and report back how much ram do you have and what is your processor and operating system ?
