  1. http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=56952&vpn=LS24X3HKFH%2FZA&manufacture=Samsung&promoid=1283 There is another Samsung for $209,00 but the one above has a 2ms response vs 5 for the cheaper one.
  2. I have always been leery of liquid cooling. I don't think you need it as much as before the big 230mm fans came in to being. Because they are so much bigger, they don't turn as fast to move the air. Are you going to throw in a couple of DVD burners? They are so cheap those days, you might as well get 2. I use the LG brand and find them very good. They should also come with LG burning software.
  3. What I like about my case is that it has 5 USB ports in the front. Yours only has 2. I didn't realise you were looking at an HD6970. I have the 5970 which is identical. If you go ahead with your wish list, our computers will be identical.
  4. You might consider a full size tower Bucky. This is what I have http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=53875&vpn=RC-932-KWN3&manufacture=COOLERMASTER It has massive 230mm fans and is almost silent when it runs.
  5. Good news Bucky! Have you decided who will build it? If NCIX will do it and you can pick up the finished box from them, you will save a small fortune on postage for each item. Canada Post is getting out of hand. I may take it over if they are not careful.
  6. Now that Hosni has stepped aside I wonder if we will look back on this and think he wasn't such a bad guy. I guess it all depends where Egypt goes from here. Military seems to be in charge and I hope they proceed with free democrat elections soon. What's your read on it "Our man in Kuwait? BTWw I hope the grub is better in Kuwait.
  7. If you are looking for a recommendation on a good AMD motherboard I would suggest http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=51021&vpn=GA-890GPA-UD3H&manufacture=Gigabyte This is the one I am using with good result.
  8. I really like the way this is heading Bucky. They are recommending some really good stuff that will last you a long time and provide a good upgrade path. That Corsair PSU is top of the line but worth it. I prefer the Intel mobo and CPU for bragging rights but the best bang for your money is AMD and will perform almost as well as Intel. I am also partial to ATI video cards and the one they have recommended will certainly run COD. What motherboard are they recommending?
  9. I would have thought she would automatically get US citizenship Tonar. You did marry the girl I hope!
  10. You will need Windows 64 bit to be able to take advantage of more than 3 gbs of ram. 5670 is not o the list of suggested video cards here http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8071032709/m/6811032709
  11. That link doesn't seem to be good Bucky but in any case, I would stay well away from Dell. You will run into problems when you try to upgrade any part of it. Better to have it custom built where you select the parts (with our help) and then get some local computer shop assemble it for you, if you don't want to build it yourself.
  12. Glad you are out of Egypt Trib. Did you manage to get your computer and game out?
  13. Kelly, Mulroney was a sleazebag and you know it.
  14. The Tribeca is Suburu's high end model. The Forester is their entry level model.
  15. Came back with. "Sorry couldn't analyse your system" We are sorry, the Game-o-Meter is unable to calculate a performance estimate for your computer. It is unable to determine how well IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover runs on your system. This may be because: - Your processor or your video card is a very new model - Your computer has a processor and video card combination that is very rare - Or your processor or your video card is very old If your system is new, this problem should resolve itself automatically as more data is submitted. Please try again in a few days.
  16. I have a 2003 3litre Outback and love it. Never have any mechanical or electrical problems with it. Helen's Audi is always having problems which is why I am encouraging her to trade plus it is 5 years older than the Tribeca. But she seems to be resisting it this morning..
  17. Thank goodness you have your Internet connection restored. Just seeing that you have checked in overnight gives us hope and confidence. I heard yesterday that Mubarek is worth 17 billion $ and his family 70 billion! That is so gross. That patch to 4.10 we talked about is over 500mb. As soon as it moves from beta to final it will be in the mail, as long as you still have mail.
  18. Helen and I went to test drive a Suburu Tribeca today http://www.owensoundsubaru.com/ou/owen-sound-subaru/3384_2380/inv/2008SubaruTribeca/S11685A It is a 2008 with 32,000 kms on it. Top of the line, leather interior, 3.6 litre with every option you can imagine. She would trade her 1.8 litre2003 Audio Quatro with 155,000kms for $6,000. The dealer is asking $27,000 for the Tribeca. I think she will decide tomorrow.
  19. We got hit by the same storm. Lots of snow and blowing winds but not as bad as the last one.
  20. I still prefer using a sound card too JP. When I did my rebuild a couple of months ago, I tried on board sound and had all kinds of problems with TS. So I went and got this card from New Egg Canada. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102024&cm_re=Creative_sound_cards-_-29-102-024-_-Product It uses the most up to date drivers
  21. I see there some issues being reported with Sandy chipsets http://news.cnet.com/8301-1001_3-20030048-92.html?part=rss&subj=news&tag=2547-1_3-0-20.
  22. An unqualified success! Some of the pictures that were taken by guests. I think there are more which I will post later today when I get them. This my best buddy Phil, a Welshman. He is a nuclear engineer at a nearby nuclear station.
  23. The wife sent me this. I_have_no_secrets.wmv
  24. Why not sell one of your kids Shadrach? That's what Painless did. Mind you he started with 10 of them.
