    Windows 7 Crashes

You have done all the usual stuff, like reseating the ram and running memtest? Another one that bit me a few years ago was a degraded SATA cable. Had another recently with daughters PC, cable dragged drive read/write times to 10% of spec Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The server we have is more than capable, better than the old one I just moved web site and TS off, so am happy to setup a test virtual machine for it. It would have the added bonus of potentially attracting more newcomers to our group too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. As title suggests, wondering if there is any value/interest in setting up DCS on our server?
  4. Old TS is still available on 198.50.132.48:9987 I'm fighting to restore it on new box, keep getting banned though :roflmao:
  5. Web site is fully functioning now, 'www' was not forwarding correctly (my fault for not ammending the DNS record for it). Now to fix TS..
  6. Web site is up and working fine. TS3 has eaten 4+ hours, it refuses to restore correctly. It is up and running, 22:00 here now and I'm sorry guys - will have to revisit it in the morning. At least it is usable
  7. Hi All. I am migrating the web and TS server to its new home, same server as our CLOD and DF server is hosted on. Time to consolidate, would like to stop paying for two servers (my fault I have been too busy). Aiming to make it as painless as possible, there will be a brief maintenance period whilst I update the database at the other end. There will be a redirect from here to there for web traffic, and I will see if I can do the same for TS3. DNS will catch up after a day or so.
  8. Hey Todd, yes have yet to do the Mississippi rafting trip. But then it did take me 2.5 years to actually get to see St. Louis and the Arch It was viewing the Arch from the other side of the river though from Illinois..
  9. Compared to 44C we had last week yes! Winter it gets down to -14C and lower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow, so good to hear the UK is getting a summer finally! Running a steady 32C here Shame the coast is 600+ miles away! Moving house on August 12th, hope temp stays as low as it is at the moment...

    New Toy Mmm

We are paying around $1.94 a gallon currently, just as well considering I'm getting around 13 mpg! Would love a bike like yours though, climate here is perfect for it (except wearing leathers would be very uncomfortable). Stay safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Toy Mmm

Very Nice Arthur! I should post pics of my 'new' toy.. (2004 Ford Expedition Eddy Baeur 5.4L) Will have to take them first of course lol..
  13. Hopefully the newly built EU server will perform better than the now deceased previous incarnation, and for my next trick - upgrading the forums and moving them (and team speak) to the new server.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dead Rig

Difficult one to call Nick, but it does sound like PSU to me. Short of being able to swap out and test though, this will be difficult to diagnose... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ok sold.. That looks abs sounds fantastic Arthur! Glad you demonstrated damage model at the end too! [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. That linked to this story: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/apr/22/norwegian-air-force-f16-fighter-jet-helps-save-dying-patient F16 saved a life by transporting medical gear 280 miles in 25 minutes
  17. Interesting read I came across the other day: http://www.techspot.com/review/1155-affordable-dual-xeon-pc/ Long story short, there are a lot of Xeon E5-2670 on the market (used) and it is possible to get a pretty respectfully high performing system for a bargain price. Not the highest of clock speeds, but a 20Mb cach is not to be sniffed at, and 8 cores.. Thought I'd share
  18. Well it would be nice, the time and effort put in to provide the service by Arjen, as well as the actual expense, ought to be recognized [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Wow! Having seen some US General get a freebie flight (well am damned sure it was not paid for out of his pocket) in the self same Spit, and actually video'd it, I am very, very green. Well done! Your dad want to adopt a 55 year old by any chance?
  20. that had me in tears, very freaking funny!
  21. Thanks for stopping by Bliss! FT - as it is an I7 based server, (Intel® Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz) it should be fairly robust!
  22. A nice man indeed! Thank you for the support, it is very much appreciated. Which server do you use? The US one or the Euro one?
  23. Test forum has been updated: http://dangerdogz.com/test/ Encourage you all to sign up and play with it, the data will be wiped but you can at least get used to the feel of the new site and provide feedback.
  24. Hi chaps. We have squeezed as much out of the life of v3 as possible, v4 has been alive and well for a long time. I held off doing the upgrade primarily because of the member map, there is also the auto group application thingy too (but that seems to have been abandoned). Good news is the member map and the other key apps are all done now, so I will be looking to upgrade in the very near future. I am also looking into moving the server as well, the DF server is more heavily used by the Euros amongst us so it would make sense for it to be based in Europe. I am building a new DF server at the moment, once we have it tested and everyone (or the majority anyway) is happy I can then consider the schedule for the move and the upgrade
