Hi All, JG1 (https://jg1.org/) is organizing a new WW2 tournament called Tanks In Flames (TIF). You can check out our official announcement here: https://forum.jg1.org/topic/8732-welcome-to-tif/ To clarify, Tanks In Flames is both an air war and a ground war. For aircraft, TIF is "dead-is-dead," meaning that each player will only have one pilot life per night. If the player is killed, or captured, they are done as a pilot for that mission. However, all participants will have unlimited lives as tail gunners and tank drivers. This should ensure that the ground combat is fast and furious, as the object is to take territory. Tanks In Flames will be run in IL-2 Great Battles. We're looking to have test missions on Saturday, 27 March and Saturday, 3 April at 2PM EST / 7PM UTC. We'll start a 4-week campaign phase on Saturday, 10 April 2021 at 2PM EST / 7PM UTC. The map will be Rhineland, and the plane-set late 1944 / early 1945.
