  1. Double checking, you still in Sid? The event starts tomorrow. Deadline for plane picks is supposed to be midnight tonight PST (7 am July 6 your time) If anybody else can come, hit up our site and register ASAP. Thanks either way guys.
  2. I just checked Google and it appears Redditch (and Hampshire) are 5 hours ahead of us. So that puts start time at 2:30 AM. Is that any better? Think you can make that? Pull a little split shift on your sleep and you're good jk Sid, you sure you can make that?
  3. Yea, I know that's the biggest issue here. I figured anyone outside of North America will be pushed too far out of the time slot to be able to compete. The main issue we have with switching time is one of our veterans is 3 hours behind the rest of us, so while we are starting at 9:30, it's 6:30 for him and he's running in the door from work to jump on. Perhaps we can attempt a marathon run once a week on the weekend at some point. The AGC really is a lot of fun and I really do thing it's worth he lack of sleep (for you, not me).
  4. I'll save the details until after the headcount. Anyways, thanks for climbing on board, Sid. Your name will look great immortalized in the Hall Of Champions. "Sid the Git" (per your choice of screen name on our forums)
  5. The Air Games Championship, or AGC, is an online league where virtual pilots select 5 planes in which to compete with in 4 seperate challenges each week for a total of 8 weeks. Pilots earn scores in each event and these scores are continuosly tallied throughout the season. At the end of the 8 week season the pilot with the most points is crowned AGC Champion, has is name added to the Hall Of Champions, is given a certificate of victory which can be printed out and framed, and most importantly, the right to brag (forever and ever). In addition to league points, pilots earn currency (called PEP) in each event that can be used to buy different/better planes to use in each event. The events are as follows: Racing - generally speaking, it's a 5 lap race around a track. The track changes each week but is posted the weekend before an event for download and practice. Scoring is determined by placement in the race (1st= 10 points, 2nd= 9, etc). Shooting - A timed event in which all pilots simutaneously hunt and kill AI planes. Highest score when time runs out wins the event. Placement is based entirely on score. 1v1 - A round-robin event where each combatant competes in a 1 on 1 dogfight with a 10 minute time limit. Scoring is based on best record for the evening on down. Attrition Dogfight - Pilots have access to every plane in their personal hangar to fight in a cut-throat every-man-for-himself furball event where the last man standing wins. Each pilot thereafter is paid on how long they lasted [ie. 1st man to run out of planes takes last, last man flying takes 1st]. Each event is ran once a week, 2 on each event night. Currently Monday= Shooting and 1v1, Thursday= Racing, Attrition. More info can be found at the AGC Home Page. Any and all Dangerdogz with time and ability are hereby invited to join us for the upcoming season (AGC #4) and be the first Squad, outside of the Spartans, to ever hold the title . While it is an every-man-for-himself environment (no team play), it will still be bragging rights if you can bring it home. Do not concern yourself with the details, it sounds more complicated than it is and everyone is happy to help with anything along the way (plane choice, event advice, rules, etc.). The AGC is ran on the latest IL-2 stock version, so this event will be on 4.13 The new season begins July 6th at 9:30 PM EST. Currently there is room for 3 pilots. Even if only 1 DD can make it, we will accept you in to the event completely and treat you equally to all contestants (even better if you want). Feel free to post any questions below. AGC Homepage
  6. Thank you, but I'd guess pasting is disabled for me? Every time I hit CTRL V or select the paste button above (or even R click) the cursor flickers and nothing comes out. I then hand-typed the address and as soon as the system recognized it was a link, it popped up a link box but both the OK and CANCEL options were grayed out. It happened in a previous visit of mine as well with a different link. I do appreciate you posting the link above. If I work up the energy to type it all back up on a new post, would you then be so kind as to slap it in under my post so people can visit?
  7. Well, I spent the time to type out an entire description of the format, explanation, and invite only to have some link window pop up that would not let me add a link or cancel/close the window and the result was a loss of my entire page. I don't have the will to repeat the process at this time and I can't seem to even add a link to the AGC page that explains everything. /shrug we tried, right?
  8. right now everyone is taking a little break before the AGC starts back up in little over a week. We will definitely make the dogfight happen, but currently I have no guesstimate on when. Speaking of the AGC, you guys should volunteer a pilot or 2 (or 3... but not 4) to represent DD in the next AGC. 8 weeks, 4 types of events, custom plane choices with virtual cash to buy new ones. It would not be us vs you, but rather every man for themselves. DD would get the bragging rights of being the first squad outside of the Spartans to ever take the title though... if you can. If you have any brave pilot(s) with time [being the factor] to spare, we'll fill in the details and offer any help along the way. It's a great time and every pilot to ever compete has improved their flying abilities throughout the season. We race, we shoot, we furball and this season adds a new 1v1 event so it's a rush, to say the least. Red Rover Red Rover, send a Dangerdog over!
  9. Great job guys. You took it to us again. Thanks for the good showing. A special thanks to FT for lending a hand and taking a beating with us. Outstanding opening attack, gentleman. While I didn't get to see your initial strike, I did see the aftermath upon my return home. Quite impressive.
  10. 4.13 thanks (I forgot to mention that)
  11. OK. I have the map prepared and available for download from our File Library. I tried to paste the address here but apparently that's not an option for me. Perhaps Ambassador Sid will grab it and bring it over. It's Called "Fury Of The Fleet". It is another attrition so last team standing wins (score no county... except for personal bragging rights). There is a land base with each of the following planes: P-40M x 6 P-38J x 6 SBD-5 x 6 Tomahawk IIb x 6 A6M3 x 6 BN52 x 6 Corsair IV x 6 F6F-5 x 6 F4F-4 x 6 B-24 x 3 In addition to that, there is a mobile aircraft carrier with an additional (20) A6M2s and (10) BN52 on each side. Kill the ship and you kill the enemies reinforcements. It is a Fog Of War map so again ships count as radar. Sinking enemy ships blinds your enemy. While this may seem like a lot of planes, it's less than 1/2 of the amount of our last battle. Note: There are 2 additional carriers (1 red, 1 blue) in the far corners of the map. They are strictly for spectators and can only spawn CW-21s with no ammo. If you have any questions or have any issues, let me know. Otherwise, we'll see you Sunday!
  12. You guys want the same map, or a new map?
